Nah i think thats b/s. its one of the things that makes mir unique!!
nothing better than dropping a rare book.
Dont turn the game into a wow where every class is a generic copy of each other with the same skillz and spells.
Also the hope of getting a rare book keeps you plugging away, same as a rare weap or whatever.

That's the thing tho, the only thing stopping me from playing is the fact I will unlikely get to use any of the new spells. What is the point of playing a game where you have to miss out on a lot of the content within the game?

Yes Mir has always been that way, but that was when it was acceptable to do so. The current MMO market gives access to pretty much everything they have to offer within a game(even the F2P games).

Everyone having access to spells would actually improve PvP in my opinion, as it currently stands, whoever managed to get certain spells would have a HUGE advantage in PvP, maybe then you might actually need some form of skill in PvP when everyone has the same spells.

There are no Rare Books... m8s Books are Essential. I know this is MIR2 not MIR3 but there was a Reason why the hole Book Situation was different from Mir2. Keeping Spells rare is bad for Balance and the game itself and the Usercount.

Sure hunting for them is ok - But keep rare or even BETTER LIMITED to a number of Players is pathetic.

Hallucination cost now ? 100k - thats fine and should be for all Spells / Classes...

Actually I play mir for its gameplay, I actually enjoy the way in which mir as a game is played. However without spells(a huge factor in how the game is played) I do not enjoy mir and so I do not play it.

Just want to make an official thread to complete turkning point of this server. So those of you that cant/dont boss you have won. I'm sure there will be alot of moans about omg we needed those to do bosses. No you didn't. You just cried cause you lost bosses a lot and couldn't figure out where to get books.

I've done fine for myself without a large guild. I've not once seen apex at any of the bosses I do regularly not even ZT. I've seen curse10/DD at both the bosses I camp most of the time. These are also the two guilds with the most books/rare gear.

Mir has always been a you get what you put in type of game. When you don't put **** in you don't deserve **** back. Normal caves should give you what you need to keep leveling but not lv35 books/rares up the ass. Shouldn't be fully kitted out at lv40 just from leveling. It's always required some luck and bossing.

Before people say OMG bosses are too hard. I've done ZT plenty of times with only 2 people, OK with 2 people, DD with 2 people. It's this new thing called strategy and skill.

Boys boys go sit in the naughty corner. There has always been drops from ordinary mobs in mir. Deva from GK FF from FT Mirror from worms BoS from Khazard are the famous ones. Think there was a BoS from a KH once also. Not often.

Sub bosses im afraid buddy. Boss in rmv is RME and the boss in ZT isssss for 10 points.... ZT.

No you dont HAVE to boss that was the beauty of mir.... flamefield off a right guard sell it for 100mil sorted theres your kit. Coulda been a lvl 29 war just popped in PT for a quick half hour hunt and bam his whole mir world has changed.

Just because John from spalding logs on at 9 for an hour while his misses is watching the soaps and his kids are in bed and gets a lucky mass drop which contains say a dring or a set of double blades who cares? 26 weapons and d rings we have lvl 44/45's running around.

Is there was a mass exodus of lvl 37/40 items then i'd agree about the whining... but if you're threatened by john and his shiny new great axe he just found from a mob in PT then you're doing it wrong.

Its not like hes gonna kill a giant worm and get mir sword is it? meanwhile you're killing the bosses that matter and picking up rarer items than he ever will (With persistence) but atleast johnhas some potcash and enjoys the game his own way... mir is not an eliteist game it never has been you just had nerds who devoted more time to it... and if mr mystickiller you are as tactical and efficient as you say you are you will reap the rewards... so stop crying and get back to what u do best.

If you want to be the best at games that matter go for world first heroics on WoW or sponsored tournaments playing cod..

Mir is such a little pond for them that aspire to be big fish.
If you are really a good gamer go play tournaments. My IT techs at work made an amateur team and beat the guys with the sponorships. Go do that then come back and boast about how you are.
