Apocalypse Beta Wave 2

Monday at 4:30pm, the server will be taken down for upto one hour so that wave two can start.

Everyone who logs on will be level 40 with 40 kit and 40 spells.

We have decided to invite a further 12 players to this wave of Beta, below is a list of the lucky winners:

We were either doing a closed Beta or no Beta, as evident we needed a closed beta to help us find bugs.

We don't want everyone knowing everything. We want you to log on when live and enjoy something fresh.

In terms of advantage for those playing now, how to get to places is the only advantage, as drops damage etc will be changed for live.

Inside info on a low rate! ZOMG! Some people will be a few hours ahead of everyone else, there's no possible way you'll catch up with them now! This will make them all OP with luck +11 SOWGs and aspeed +9000 in the first day!

Seriously though, the beta's being streamed by everyone anyway so any "inside info" you can see for yourself. You're just butthurt because you didn't get in.

It's boring to read the same copy-cat response "it should be open, blah blah blah" - Less testers is more helpful sometimes, 100s of people spamming the GMs with pm's like "Where do I buy potions from? Hello? Are you there?"!?!??!" just isn't productive.

Considering how many accounts were given out and how many people are currently beta testing, it seems a wasted effort to limit the testing.

We have on average 15 users on at any 1 time. Which is adequate otherwise i get spammed with pms, of the same bug.

The fact that the people you chose message you directly with the bugs is sad.

If we are ingame we prefer it so that i can teleport to them and see x bug etc. Saves time however 50 to 60 people doing that ... if you see where i am going with this.

I mean all these whinging about a select few having some kind of 'advantage' just to get a little bit of early play themselves, will then be the exact same ones that cry after 20mins of live because they've already done 0-20 or whatever level in beta and they can now not be bothered to do it a second time at an even slower rate.

I've all kinds of free time currently, but didn't apply to beta test because I know that mir doesn't hold my interest enough anymore for me to do the low levels twice. And you can bet that for many, that is also the case, particularly as the rate is accelerated during beta to enable more things to be tested.

Make sure you leave atleast 2 weeks between end of beta and launch, for word of mouth plus people wanting to book time off work/finish uni/collage

Of course once beta is done my sole purpose will be marketing... leaving xx69xx to finish database edits and ryan to fix any remaining bugs whilst myself creating new ai's ready for launch inbetween marketing
