It would have been quite simple actually. You make a thread saying "thank you", or just reply to the original funding thread. Instead you made some ludicrous rant about some disagreement you had with some other members and say things like "i have nothing good to say about the forum". REALLY? You don't? And you want to talk about shitty behaviour?

Im hoping im okay for saying this... BUT the argument started when i defended the coding i wrote for Jev that opened a WebView2 page inside a client and people went mad about it logging details.....

Chroncs did exactly the same thing! no one said anything.... thier client opened a webpage in game and you entered bank details.

I defended my coding choices but people didnt like it, thats fine but you cant slate one without the other.

1. Why do people think this place is the ultimate authority for MIR? Most people in my guild on Discord hear about servers through word of mouth or Discord chat anyway. It's not up to this forum to dictate a high and mighty code of conduct on what should and shouldn't happen. I'd estimate that 20% of the main MIR players are banned from here anyway. The MIR community is fading away, and if you're silly enough to join a server that claims to have 500 players when there are probably at best 250 active users across all the MIR 2 servers, you might be a bit misguided. However, if you can overlook that and enjoy that type of server, then go ahead.
2. The obsession with the VIP title is baffling to me. Why care about such a small thing? There are bigger things in life than a title on a forum with a small user base.

Im guessing thats because its the only english community website out there? Unless you speak chinese then you can be lucky enough to ditch us to GOM community lol

Like I said I'm never going to please everyone. You may not like every decision I make but it's always with the best intentions, and also boycotting us every time you don't like something is really immature.

It's not about what you were defending, it was the fact you made that your "comeback" post after being inactive for however many months or years(?)

With 140 posts in 20 years I wouldn't consider you an active member of the forum so I would not expect you to understand. But some (a lot, even) of our members go out of their way to share resources, developments, and help other people, and like to be rewarded for this with a bit of recognition and a label under their name (standard forum stuff). Without these people, the servers you play wouldn't even exist.

Honestly the timing of you requesting VIP while simultaneously inaugurating the most catastrophicly handled server launch of all time was pretty poor. Sorry

Still a lot playing another server that doesn't advertise on here, agreed though user base is pretty poor atm. Pity people just want a pop up 2 month server and then move on to the next.

For transparency, I was staff back then but had no input other than asking @SPL1FF is he was okay after what had happened and that if he felt like staff should investigate it then it would be best to contact Tai.

By the "martyn incident" I assume you are referring to the thing with Banshee? You've already said yourself that you know I asked for evidence and didn't receive any so that was the end of it.

No. It was your general behaviour over the 12~ months leading up to it; i.e. the donations thing which I explained to you, the boycotting and general "**** lomcn" undertone of a lot of your posts. I'm sure you can understand how that isn't really in line with somebody we would consider a VIP member.

Lack of evidence aside, Martyn hasn't denied anything. I think he ****ed up and learned from it.

In my book everyone deserves a second chance. He's been a reliable member of staff for over 5 years and I'm not going to fire him because of one mistake.

I agree, people can make mistakes and learn from them, we're all human and no ones perfect, i clearly messed up by handling the issues i've had badly and i cant change it but move forwards from it.

I dont know the answer to the issue in this threads main point but seeing a server like Armageddon state 500 users is clearly not legitimate in terms of players playing and is miss-leading to anyone who does come to look for a server to play.

This is the ongoing issue and has been for a while, though.
There *are* 500 active "users" online. That number has not been inflated by dodgy code like some in the past. Unfortunately, there is a mechanic in game (I'm assuming, as I have never played) which is promoting AFK/Multi accounts.

As said before me, it's a loophole which has been there forever - Wasn't P69 full of "Stalls" that counted towards their "Online" users?
