Banning characters

Ok how would I go account banning/unbanning a specific character on cd3.55?

I've not really tried doing anything like this so not sure where I would go in the files to do it exactly. But yeah, there is a reason for me asking.

Some a***hole has apparently hacked my server computer and banned my gm char, I don't know who or how it was done as I only had the server online for 5 mins to test a script, but whilst it was live someone obviously did this thinking it was a great laugh! I can only say I have my suspicions as to who did it. If anyone cares to tell me how to fix this I would appreciate it. I know it is an issue with the gm char as every other char on every other account connects fine, this one character wont connect at all, even if I change the account it is on.

You could check the character login log and then banning an account is simple, just change the last entry on Tbl_Account to Y

humm checked tbl_account and nothing wrong there, can't find any files in mud3 related to banning chars either so not sure wot on earth is going on :S

TBL_ChARACTER find ban char, xample mukai

ERASE CHAR = 0 no baned =1 baned

Look in TBL_Connectlogs - find the accounts logged in at the time in question or look in mud3/share/conlog and look for the time in question - will show the characters log in and out times.

this is the thing, was only me connected as only myself and my partner have accounts on the server, yet someone was able to somehow stop me logging in on my gm char. all other chars on the same account still connect, its just that 1 char that wont. Char is not deleted and can't see how it has been done anywhere.

It's sorted now though, restored my game3g and account databases and my server files (which thankfully) i backed up the other day and I can connect. Think in future I'll turn off modem when connecting to server when testing to be extra safe lol
