Probably worth including the relevant required directx libaries in the root of your client so that people dont need to install the directx SDK.

Edit*: For anyhone who wants to try this - extract the directx libaries to the client folder:

this is the resolution problem of your Pc, so just go on mir2config file and change the 1366 to 1336 or lower like 1080 etc try load it again after changing

How about for those with W10? If we want to play full screen, it's still just "black screen".

ok i have deleted, reinstalled, added latest patcher, directx and microsoft stuff, full firewall bypass set up but still black screen and in windows size mode.
any other stuff to try?

why does it say 'solved' when apparently it is not?

anyway the issue might be what I outlined in my post in different thread here

its just that your pc won't switch back to desktop and display the game view in a window on desktop as mine does, your might just stay in full view with black screen

try setting ini res to 1280 or 1024, the latter works for me if I want to play in full screen

ok i managed to get in and log in but after character select screen i just have black screen and music

EDIT: ok sorted I think. had to do a config resolution change as well as that file Chris, I needed to change from 1366 res to 1080 and I git in straight away

1080? what are the working or allowed res for this client? I thought it was only the 800 1024 (1280?) 1366

just tried and 1080 works for my display, better than 1024 I thought I would have to use if I wanted to play in full screen

wow just tried 1680 and that one keeps me in full screen and with huge view around (with black strips on sides but I don't mind that), as a bonus I can toggle out to desktop which I couldn't from other resolutions, go figure, I am now

btw my display has native res 2560 and I am on win10 pro, some older version, have no problem in full screen with typing in chat, but your mileage may vary as they say

and before someone asks, I did try 2560 but that gives me that 'window' on desktop that is no bigger size than the 1680 res is, which is maybe the maximum for the client? window is in quote marks because it is not true window, mouse can't escape it and when I toggle out by alt tab, the mir 'window' vanishes from desktop, it is not true window

hi all . took me a week but i have also managed to make it the black screen go away and let me kill my hen for this server.
ive done this by having a copy of Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3D.dll ,Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3D.xml,Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3DX.dll,Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3DX.xml,Microsoft.DirectX.DirectSound.dll,Microsoft.DirectX.DirectSound.xml,Microsoft.DirectX.dll,Microsoft.DirectX.xml,WpfCustomControlLibrary.dll,WpfCustomControlLibrary.pdb.
in the folder with MirApocalypse have tried first with all of them in a folder located in the mir apoc folder that didn't work but once I took all of them out of the folder and placed them near the autopatcher it worked. just in case that there are others that might have this problem. after was a matter of res tweak and all seems to be good now.

If your getting as far as a black screen, I'd assume that you already have .net 4.0 or above installed. (Apoc client is built in 4.0 so 3.5 wont help you.)

Have you tried installing the Directx SDK or copiying the DLLS from my post (see second post)

it's the same mate i install Directx SDK but the installer redirected to that error "Net framework 3.5 ( Includes Net 2.0 and 3.0)

i followed all instructions and same black screen problem and i modified the res too 1366 to 1080r Untitled.png

hello what can i do to login i have black screen and this error [11/16/2018 12:49:16 AM] System.MissingMethodException: Method not found: '!!0[] System.Array.Empty()'. at Client.CMain.CreateDebugLabel()

Just got black screened.
It did a little update on Mir when i opened up normally.
Now it's black screened.
Never had this before????? hmmmmm

Btw, i was on the game 5 hours ago amd it was fine.
So it must be something to do with that tiny little update it did??
