Burning .avi files to disk

Can this be done? I cant seem to burn them to disc, unless i convert them to a DVD format.

I use Nero

Depends what you wanna play them on..

If you just wanna store them burn it as a data disc if you want to watch it on a divx/xvid compatible DVD Player burn it as a data disc. Otherwise convert them to DVD Format to watch on standard DVD Players

Like Milo said, it depends what your wanting to use it for.

If i ever want to burn something to a disk for normal dvd player to use, i use Nero and it'll convert then burn in one process, so no hassel.

Just thought i'd give you a way of doing the dvd conversion

Never mind, sorted it.

Just burnt it as a data disc and works on my DVD player, as its a Xvid/Divx player.
