As per title. I always hear this music when downloading cracked pc games, but i never know what you need to search to find it.

for some reason my computer doesn't have stereo mix, so i didn't know how to record sounds playing on my pc.

took me a while, but finally found the tune on youtube. anyone know the artist for this?

yeah its 8 bit music (sorry i think i knew that already) but i think this music is from a group / artist, the song is different in each patcher, but they always have the same feel to it. can never find any like it when searching 8bit music on youtube.

It's just midi songs. When I'm learning via tabature I use software called "Guitar Pro" you can get the tabs from www.ultimate-guitar.com . You can play thousands of songs back that way.

Somehow this thread led me onto listening to a load of 8 bit songs and I've now downloaded GXSCC and converting my favourite songs into 8bit format!

Does sound pretty epic though lol.

It's known as "KeyGen" Music. Just type KeyGen into youtube and it'll give you loads of 8bit type music.

As for authors, it's usually hard to find the "real" author as well, they're the ones cracking the games and also creating this music to go with it. Generally don't want to be known. But some of them are just epic.
