While bored i came up with a new mir event called capture the flag, read below.

Capture the flag
Being a well known game i thought i shud add capture the flag mir style. Two groups, two bases. Each group has to capture the enemys flag while prtecting their own. You notice two building in each of the bases, these have a npc insde that hold the flag, when a guild member from the oppisit team click on him the game is over and the team win.

Pretty simple huh, but fun.

i dont own a server. But the scripts would be pretty simple imo.

Well if it is going to be YOUR idea then you should MAKE the idea, the scripts and alkl run a test server give everyone good start kit high level and then see how it works ;)

It won't catch on seeing with a small userbase it would last less than 1 minute.

On Euro I've run past a mostly blocked steps and got into Sabuk Palace with people trying to kill me.

It just wouldn't be hard enough.

If you had to wipe out a palace full of people. THAT would be more interesting.

sounds like fun.. but dont you have to run back to your base with the flag? Seems short just running there and not back!

Yeah i was thinking the same thing, if you get to the other teams palace you get the flag and youve gotta run back to your npc and give the flag to him.

Ive never owned a server, ive tried but always got an error. Its open to anyone whos wishes to use it, ill host my map or you cud make your own, sup to you.

no offence but that really looks like the most ****test map i have ever seen, and the idea just wont work. a lost cause if you may wish

maybe if you made a npc that allows only during the game to ret 5pets not crap ones that get owned in 5secs a hard mob that way if theres 5 ppl on each team then they each got 5pets means it will be

or maybe use the sabuk system where have to break walls to get in
or the archers on roof that attack the ppl trying to get in

Charming, like my mother always said if you cant say anything nice dont say anything at all. Ive seen worse maps, and considering it took about 10mins to make the map, it was the idea that was suppose to count. As i enjoyed sabuk wars but there where so few, and i wud like teh see some mini games in mir.

And yea the sabuk system sounds gud.

yea but the CTF scenario has been posted befor, there are NPC scripts in Mir 2 Release Section, so really you are just posting the map, and i just posted my comment on the map(which i should be allowed to do, as you put the map in public viewing), now i didnt mean to put you down or anyting, im just saying that so you might want to try and make a new map.

now since its a CTF map i can tell you some stuff thats at a disatvantage, like the players who owns the top side of the map will be at a disadvantage as there doors are right next to the entrance, while you have to run a msall bit for the bottem side.

a black boreder will be shown and what not, due to you not putting any boreder(like trees or cliffs) alot of the objects are not in the correct place, and the tiles do not suit the map. i would get rid of Past Bichon walls, and add something else(sabuk walls, due to you can go on top of them)



here is a map i done for a CTF scenario, i have put 5 red circles onto it. this took me around 10-20 minutes to do, but i think it is quite balanced, due to some reasons. like points #1, there is one at the bottem left corner and top right corner, i have made it so you cant walk around the water there, by adding trees and rocks to add to the effect.

This makes it so there is only one place to cross to the other side of the map(the enemys terriotry) and this is point #2. this is a small bridge which will make it hard for the teams to run straight passed, so there will oviously be a fight on it. there would be some good tactics, like making the wizzards at the start of the game to run to the bridge to FW ect, so some good tactics are needed.

Now point number #3 this is were you have to run up a small set of seires of stairs to capture the flag, if you noticed it is harder at this side due to the steps are facing away towards the trees(while the others are facing the way you are running at it) So who ever's team is at that side has the advantage, however, if you look at point #4 you will see i added a small set of steps, so this will make it so that the fight can be concentrated at another set(to try and balance out the map due to point #3)

this map took me around 10-20 minutes and it isnt very detailed(like the water ect) however i just made it to point out some points about balancing CTF maps.

Yeh i admit my map is pretty awfull. Yours owns mine up 100 to 1, but then again i made my first map yesterday, and the map i posted earlier was an example. Also i never saw the capute the flag idea before.

ok, is it possible for this to happen - every 1 is made "red" asthough they have been pkin, (this is probs better on a mir3 server) and each team is given a diff armour (with same stats, like ac / amc 10-10) 1 is titan, other is dragon... the NPC only gives out 1 flag at a time once you get it, if you get killed u will always drop it (because ure red) then the other player pics it up, and double clicks it (which teles them to their palace) and they give it to the NPC, at this point the other team can capture it again. The team who's flag was stolen cannot return the opponents flag to their base unless theirs is inplace... just a few idea's don't know how possible they are
