well broke up with my gf now so i have time and money to start on a project which ive wanted to do, what cars wud u think would be a good project? i was thinking of buying a 1.8 vectra x reg or somthing in white, silver / black and taking engine gearbox etc off a 2.5 / 2.6 V6 and droping that in, and putting better disks etc nice alloys u can make the old 1's luk sweet.

or mazda 323 gxi 1.5 and fitting an mx5 1.8 v6 engine in somthing alone the lines of that, i dnt like the idea of stikign i redtop in a corsa tho just silly lol.

i would put on it,
Racing Disk's + Capila's
Nice set of alloy's
a Sweet Body Kit,
New Air Filter
Custom Designd Exhast System
Ripp all of the Interia out,
Put roll cage in
Neon's inside
Vinny's
New set of HeadLights n rear Headlight's
a nice effective Spoiler
BoomBox
Clean the Engine up add mod's to it
Paint Silver or Black
Logo's
Bucket Seat's
Racing Stearing wheel
Computerised stuff inside (IE temp of the car etc etc)

many many more if you think about it, i just h8 it when boy racer's do up old ****ty car's mise get a good car like 1 of these and make it an awsome track day car or a normal crusing car

i wouldnt go for a 1.6 or 1.8 engine go for a full wack 2.6 V6 there pritty quick should no MG ZT are pwnage car's fast as fk 190 BHP but the ZS is just as nice,

MG Has to be the Best affordable British Sport's car, TVR are ownd by a Russian and Jaguar + Astin Martin's are just skyhigh for the money

Tbh find a nice car, a big car maybe off ebay strip engine out and put a nice v6 engine in it maybe flip the axel so it sits down tidy, tbh if i was u id get a nice 4 speed gear box that shoots thru the gears with maximum acceleration but ur top end isnt gunna be as high which is a good thing as ur only gonna be shooting around town and accross dual carriage ways upgrade breaks as ive heard all ur nonsense bout crashes n all, nice set of chromes if u can afford em and a nice air intake on the front bonnet like on this car

sports performance exaust coming out at the back 1 on each side bout 2 inches in diameter. Get the top end interior for it of course and a tidy sound system.

nice metallic color id go for black with designs.

Should put a tidy spoiler on it depending on the car and depending on if u get body kit. one thing u dont want to do is have the car looking like a boy racer car altho u are and deffinately a roll cage if u go for a v6 of ne kind lol.


btw ancient i thought astin and jaguar are foreign owned now. im not sure bout MG aswell they may be foreign owned too. think thers only 1 british car manufacturer left now and cant even remember their name, they make bout 2 or 3 sports cars. they been on top gear too.

MG Is british because it's made by Rover, the Noble is British also

If your into Body Resto you could go down the route of dropping a VTEC or Vaux lump into a mini, mayb even if ur loaded R1 or Haybusa it??

or

get sumit retro like a Mk1 Escort and stick a Zetec Turbo lump in? Mayb a ST conversion?

Civic B16 Conversion (think its a b16 anyway)


Dont see why ur so against XE'ing a Corsa, its they only way u'd find me driving a Corsa B!

there are tonnes of kool cars out there calling out 4 conversions dont kno why u chose a vectra, as jeremey clarkson put it "its the worlds most boring car"

Either way, its going to cost a hell of a lot more than u think in time and money, as its been covered its not jst a case of dropping and new engine in, uve got Mounting Points, Subframe Compatibility, Fuel Pumps, Senders, Looms etc etc to think about 2.

Personally if i was going to go for a project id choose a ford capri, i love the car tbh, id strip the engine out and get it rebuilt everything from alternator to new head gasket.

id paint all the engine bay with color coded with outside, personally id go for a flat black color with silver designs going all over car. as for the actual engine id go for a 3.0 v8 converted to the 3.1, with an air intake on the front bonnet, full sports interior with premium sound system n all the business.

outside id hav color coded spoiler on bottom of boot and one at top of boot. set of 16 inch alloys chromed extra wide alloys with extra wide tyres coming out further than body with wide arches. all new uprated breaks.

tint windows of course black matching car color, install automatic window winders, and a conversion to a 1 wiper on front, delock doors to a fob with an alarm.

exaust system wld have to be a sports performance coming out either side on the back end. not too loud tho.

would have to go for the 1987 model shape.

im saving up atm to start my project, buying a astra old mk3 n puttin it on the drive, prob a 1.6. then ripping its guts completley out and starting from scratch. gonna take me about a year by calculations of cost and earning the cost :P but should be quite nice by the end. ive worked out how ot fit 17 speakers and 2 subs along with 4 batts + 5 amps and altonator all in hte back.. pritty sick when i look at my designs. may have to remove my back seats but thats only if i cant get the right speakers.
