Calm down everybody.... that pet is not as good as u think it is.....its nice for hunt tho. in pvp?.. i doubt it...
maybe someday jamie add a"follow" or "target lock" mode for pets would be more helpful ....otherwise pets in pvp at fields are useless

How so? lol.

Pretty sure everyone would have the screen limitation?

Nope we tested it, the tao can hit half a screen further than wizzys mesh feel free to test it yourself

Ok so no checking needed, its fine you've given good examples, which is probably all people ask for.

Are there any differences in calculation vs players?

Assuming a fight between the highest level players currently with the health pools they have, almost no one would survive a hit from this. How does that seem balanced?

Alibab as example has about 1670hp and 117mr, he's 4 levels higher. How would a best case calculation look against him?

Without red poison on, and with phantom resist x1, he'd survive the best possible hit from the tao (non crit), provided it's the same calculation as what Jamie just posted. Without phantom, or with red, he'd always die. phantom x1 reduces damage by ~10% it looks like, so it's worth pumping that instead of MR which is only worth 1 damage each (lol!). Getting x3 phantom resist would mean he could survive a hit even with red poison on.

Personally I'd suggest damaging the pet if explosion is based on current pet hp rather than max??? If that's true, every damage you do to the pet before it's blown up reduces it by around 0.5 damage. I've seen sins do over 1k in a hit, which would reduce the damage by 500, and I'm guessing survivable by most high levels? But I doubt any of the taos with it would like to discuss how to counter the pet, haha, so it's just a theory.

From watching Taos hunt with it, it’s based on max hp not what is left, but that’s just speculation on my part. Either way, I’ve said my piece and will leave it now, I’ve tried to highlight other areas that have issues too. Seems it all falls on deaf ears.

Anyone else notice the melee attack of the pet is also ranged (3-4 spaces??), surely that can’t be right??

The Pet is not the Problem its the element in game,

was not design for a player to have that much element.

but on other had if u know u going to war and u know there is a high level wiz u get some adv wind so just got to get adv phantom

pros and cons.

for once taos are up with top dps :P

I love this is the go to argument, because we can casually stack these resistances without totally ruining our kit/DPS.

While at the same time Tao / Wizz only need a single kit to be effective, as a warrior I need one for each element, one for each resistance, one for MR one for AC and one for DC/Crit

Not been enjoying Warrior for a while to be fair, I should have played Wizz like I always do!

Oh the range of the AoE....there's is prob 4x4, or even 5x5 as mesh is only 3x3.

Been trying to make this point for a while...i would suggest not doing the same.

Save your sanity and re-roll, or just quit lol....a good chunk already did.

No i mean literally the tao can stand 5 squares behind the wiz and still land hits on the target which a wiz can no longer reach or hit stuff over thick walls that wizzys cant even cast over.
