Fine ill only buy games i like hows that? I use piracy as a personal review system Where as you use it as your only means of getting games by the looks of it

I've whole-heartedly admitted that I've pirated (look Ma! past-tense again!) games and I've aknowledged that it's wrong. What more do you want? The comments that were made initially were done so because you had blantantly condoned the illegal download of Doom 3 as well as letting eveyone know where they could follow suit. Not only does this show that you don't care about the games you play but that you don't care that it puts other people out of a job.

Public FTP, yes, but the keyword you missed out there was 'mistake'. If i left the keys in my car an someone drove off in it, i would not shrug my shoulders an think "my fault realy ^^" i could still take legal action.

And as for the law suit, have to admit- i realy dont know the background to that (as i stated) but i know there was some fuss about it (hell, theres even a p server disclaimer thread going on in server help atm).
Anyway, this has gone on long enough and im fighting a losing battle, u are all failing to see my point and its getting ugly.

If I'm correct, the point of this argument is that you are emphasizing the download of an illegal file over a file sharing network. The good people of this forum are simply pointing out how stupid and obnoxious you are by stealing from the game industry, making game developers jobless, and performing an illegal action.
the private server files for Mir and other games we have were origonally used, and by the admins and mods of this forum, still are, for educational purposesly only. this is why WEMADE has not been able to file a lawsuit against LOMCN or RageZone thus far.
by posting this thread, you have clearly stated that you dont care about the game developers, you dont care about the companies that they are employed to, you dont care about the law, and you obviously dont care about a word called profit.

Emphasizing the download of an illegal file. FFS! How. Please explain to me, how, you can use that in an argument against me. I wonder how many links to "illegal" files I can files I could find on LOMCN if I were pathetic enough to search.
The files are for educational purposes. When, and where, with quotes please, did I state that the use of these files was for anything other than educational purpose. They can be used to make pretty little GIFs files of Woomataurus's if you like m8y, the actual fact that we use them is piracy. Ya know? The basis of this debate?

I would bet my life the person who originaly posted a link to the 1.4 server files was not frowned upon. An you can call it what you like, as you obviously have not taken into account how much Game Network has to pay out in server liscense fee's, royalties to actualy host a legal server etc.
It's absolutely pathetic the way you can call downloading Doom3 "stealing from game developers" but hosting/playing private servers with WEMADE's files- "educational purposes". The 2 are the same thing.
