This is the problem with Mir. It's too bad Chronicles wasn't released in parallel with a properly low (regular) exp server. No items in the shops, cept util stuffz.Drops are fine as they are, people have been used to easy MMOs over the years and forgot what a real game feels like. Oooo noez the game has been out just over a month and I don't have the best kit.
I've had loads of drops from leveling alone.
It's inbred within the masses that you'll be 40, all the skillz you can use, within a short while with masses of kit. Granted, Mir at it's peek allowed quick levelling, but never had such items in shops from the start, that are now expected. Items generally appeared in shops due to self replication from sales.
Whilst it'd be great to have Chronicles in it's current guise as a test server, so you'll get the masses playing it as they are, it's a shame that once a few months have passed, they'll drop away looking for the next sugar rush.
A level 13 spell selling for record amounts is not going to happen again, even getting it 6/7 levels after you can use it. Chronicles represented a new adventure, possible challenge, but there's too much sugar. They're already complaining about their characters and not thinking about what they can do about things themselves.
