haha that's basically the same as saying 'the RAM (or 'graphics card' as it is more commonly known)'

Personally I see nothing wrong with the information on the site, its somewhat loosely accurate to Computing threoy, albeit badly presented and without colour coordination. God help those who receive the CD lol.

@Shard: Well it was right calling the M/B a CPU... but its definitly not commonly known as that, at least not anymore. A CPU has been known to be any of the following; entire internal electronics + case, the motherboard, the processor.

Im not commenting on this tho...

Every Hard drive has a unique IP address. An IP address is used by the internet so the governmnet can keep track of you. That way if someone is doing something illegal, such as hacking, the government or police can identify this person by their IP address, simmilar to a cars liscence plate.

That quotes better than mine :(

I've always known a CPU as the processor. Oh well, learn something new everyday.

motherboard just the hub that connects everything, it doesn't really do any computing

Yeah, I mean working out where each instruction is to go, the order to power devices, and the speeds in which they run isn't any computing at all... its all astrology.

NorthBridge: "Hmm, the aligment of capricorn in aries represents the AGP port to be having difficulty with romance in the workplace, must mean I should divert gfx processing away to the processor."[/sarcasm]

A C.P.U.'s speed is measured by the amount of busses it has. A Bus is a tiny microscopic electronic component that carries computer data. The more busses a cpu has, the more data can be carried at once, the faster it is. Most of today's modern C.P.U.s have over 700 busses.

Oh that's hilarious.

There are three main types of chips, Celeron, Pentium and A.M.D. There are no distinct differences between the three, just different brands, although, Pentium is the most widely known and is suported by most, if not all, software companies.

Oh this lady cracks me up.

here are different types of R.A.M. which include EDO, SD and DDR. There is a new standard of R.A.M. beginning sale this year, it is known as DDR2 which holds more data than normal DDR R.A.M.

512=512? No don't be silly children!

"Some hackers however, have found ways to steal peoples IP address by using special virusses called trojan horses. Once the hacker has stolen someones IP address, they can use it while hacking to avoid being caught.

stealing IP addresses is illegal and I will not be explaining how to do it here."

Someone seriously should correct her...

And Urban dont forget about DDR3

"DDR3 is also expected to go on sale in early 2007 which will be able to hold even more data than DDR and DDR2."

LMFAO that woman is clever yet stupid at the same time, some information is basic, but some its just past the point of laughter, like milo said about stealing peoples IP address

someone really shud tell her some real information about computers, wherever she learned some of her knowledge god knows

I emailed her last night, I was pretty nice too, I will have to see what she says.
