Exp pot carrying on even after logout

Any ideas why this is? I thought they 'paused' on logout?
I've gone from 3000 some odd seconds to 400.. brilliant

If you are using a char on the same account you are acording to the server still logged in (ie past the login gate) the timer is account linked as far as I can see.

I logged off 1 chara and onto another chara, but the other chara is on a separate account completely..

Odd

What exp pot was it? The timer does not drop for others.

How did you log out? Did you just close the game (ie the server still thinks you are online) did you just hit x, or did you log out via the char select screen.

I can't remember, probably closed the game by exiting completely (exit button next to logout) - is there anyway to change that it still records you as being logged in by exiting through the X? it's bit daft, just as well I noticed quickly, I could have wasted a few pots otherwise!

p.s
im using just the standard golden elixir pots

I've tried logging out using X button, logging out from char select screen, closing process mir.exe in task manager, turning laptop off by holding down power button while mir.exe is open and every time the exp potion pauses for me :-/

I tried GoldenElixir and SuperGoldenElixir


Is it still not pausing for you now?

I wont be using another one anytime soon, not convinced its working properly.

That's the thing it has been tested and is working properly for everyone else.

We are trying to work out what happened with your char, this is why we have asked you all the questions.

A GM even went ingame and tested all exp pots and all the ways you can log out of the game, even turned his system off while logged in game and the timer did not decrease.

So they are working as intended, sonething odd happened related to your char and we asked all the questions in order to try find out what happened and to try sort it for you.

That's great and appreciated, my comment wasn't at all a dig at you and the team for not looking into the issue, I just don't want to use any more pots without knowing for sure that the issue won't occur again.

If I try to use another one and have the same problem, then what? That's 2 pots I've thrown away. Unless you can reimburse the pots (if the problem reoccurs) then I won't bother anytime soon, at least not until I'm able to play for 1-2hrs straight.

The GMs have responded promptly and they've tested every method of 'logging out' and everything seems to be working ok. You've provided very vague feedback (ie you cant remember which method you used to log out). What more exactly are you expecting the GMs to do here? How do you expect them to continue to investigate what is clearly an isolated issue (you're the first to report such a problem in however many months since exp pots were introduced) if you can't/aren't prepared to provide further details?

and I've even told the team that I appreciate their efforts but I don't want to use another pot with the risk of having to logout on short notice and therefore wasting the exp, what's wrong with that? In no way have I bad talked the team or had a rant that they aren't making an effort. See below:
