wat he is saying is of ur fully comp on 1 policy u can drive as a 3rd party driver on another.

i kno some insurance companies do this, but not all + there is usualy an age limmit like 25+ on it 2, so id be weary.

But im sure, the other car you are dricing needs to be insured by the owners aswell?

Sir, this is on-topic, were tryna find cheap insurance ;)

1 - No.

2 - Nope.

3 - Nein.

Etc - No.

Asking me for pictures of ANYTHING to do with real life? No.

Thus ends the off-topic posts. Any more, and I might use these new Goderator powers ;)

Fraud!. dont believe for a 2nd u own a mini, either that, or have no idea of the culture behind it, so i have an interest which is the same as urs (or so u say) and u persist on being blunt and childish in ur replies, either way its not like im going to flame u for owning a mini, but never mind.

if u wasnt aware, MITP is on the 18/19th of this month @ santa pod if u feel like checking out a show.

Just like everyone else had said, go for something old and cheap.....

My first car was a b reg nissan micra, and the reason being was becouse it was a jap car and it was going to have to handle alot of abuse ( witch it did :), that cost me £400 7 years ago and about £800 on insurance...

Anyway my next car a year after the micra was a 1.4 mk2 astra, that did me proud for another year, then for some reason unknown to me i then bought another micra lol..... anyway....

7 years down the line, i now own my own garage, with traders insurance policy, and these days i role in a choice of...

02 plate Mk4 astra sri turbo running 260 ish bhp
M reg Nissan 200sx (modded) running 310 bhp
N reg Nissan 200sx ( heavily modded for track use ) running 420-480 bhp depending on boost
K reg nissan skyline gtst ( standerd ) 215 bhp
and just sold my Mk3 astra 2.5 V6 that i built from a bareshell ( was 211bhp )

And my insurance.... just short of 5k fully comp ( includes insurance for premises and storage for up to 50k worth of viechles, fires etc etc...

Yeah im luckyer then most, but i started off from the bottom just like everyone else did.

lol.... first off that smart car is a bucket and looks like it has no engine, i would advise getting a first car something like peugeot 206/306, vauxhall astra, ford fiesta, vw golf, skoda fabia or rover (they cheap to buy just expensive to fix)

get around a 1.2 - 1.6 depending on how much you want to blow on insurance, insurance companies can be touchy about insuring a new driver with a 1.8/2.0+ ltr car and will give you a massive bill for it

and what u talking about write off your first car.... you only write off a car if u drive like a total tool

I passed my test 3 years ago and still have the same car i haven't so much as had a bump let alone written the car off

I have a skoda fabia 2003 model 1.4, does 0-60 in about 3 hours... lol i have topped it out at 128mph (coming back from a job in leeds was tired n wanted to get home...)

I've always been blunt, Floyd. It's why I'm still floating in the pool of life ;)

Anyways, Xander, you get my feedback on MSN ;) I'll say no more here.

I went on my dad's insurance straight off, cut the ins by half and named drivers can run up no-claims discounts these days aswell.

Depends if your mum or dad is willing to risk their no-claims on you ;)

thers a few strings attached on ur parents insurance, firstly u build up ur no claims but to get the no claims u must insure on ur own with the same company, the other one is that ur likely on ur parents insurance to have a faster car therefor increasing the likeliness of a crash plus then ur parents are risking there no claims too. but im likely to get insured on my parents insurance due to wanting a fast nice car str8 away.

You speak the truth. I started driving a bit later than 17/18 though so my dad was willing to put me on his. Not crashed yet, will no doubt happen soon now I've said that.
