Pebble said:Since when has it been illegal to download 1.4 files, 1.4 client and 1.5+ client?
Never, so no.
Pebble said:Actually I've been here longer than you.
And yes I don't care if Mir private servers are illegal. I actually encourage the playing of private Mir. But I'd rather buy something than download it, for the fact that I know it will / can be improved upon.
What I'm getting at is I'd never download a game or program that you can buy from a shop.

You can't afford the £30 for the shiny new PC game? Go get a job.
You can counter all you like, your sorry ass won't be earning money playing that pirated game. This isn't the music industry, folks. The games industry isn't swimming in money.
RightGuard said:Meh, people will never get it Auron. They'll only cry when people won't make games for them anymore. And as the connections get faster the development pot gets smaller. Then again, humans are pretty good at killing what they love.
Gooooo lazyness. Goooooo lawn your neighbours garden and earn some money, fatties.

Stickly said:Oh and borrowing your mates to coppy his CD is realy the same as downloading it iligaly!!!
Stickly said:Its hard to find a job around were I live ages 18 and below and when somethings on a plate being offerd to you for free shour your going to take it (only strange people don't). People who are saying that gaming industry will die out... thats bullcrap. It balances out the same as the music industry dose...

Incase you hadn't noticed, the music industry is already ****ed. Most signed artists simply remix/**** over songs already made, in an attempt to further milk our wallets. The only way to get decent CDs is through shops which stock independant labels.
The game industry is going the same way. No, it won't die. It'll stagnate, instead. Instead of seeing exciting new games, you'll get constant sequels, maybe the odd Character Franchise A meets Character Franchise B game.
Oh, wait, have you not noticed that? The majority of games that make the shelves these days are rehashes of already made games. Why? Because morons are guaranteed to buy them. You'll get a few untalented developers working like *******s on the same thing OVER and OVER again. Take a look at EA, if you want to see the future.
Now, you can try and justify this incredibly stupid behaviour. "I can't get a job". Boo ****edy hoo. Move to somewhere where you can. There is work for people who are willing to take it. That sentence says to me you're either too far up yourself, or you're too stupid to do a job properly.
Wake up people, the future is just around the corner.
Stickly said:I know were your going Auron with the games and for one I don't realy play other games and most of my music is from the shops because I like my music and love collecting the real CD's.
I have plenty of job opitunitys when im 18 but all other jobs are like sesonal and 12-14 yearolds have them because;
1 they can't get done proply for selling sinide items,
2 they don't mind the £2.50 hour pay,
And the fact your telling me to move? Why leave home while at college for next to nothing?
My sisters work at a pub cutting Veg they get £10 for like 5 hours... its stupid.
So you could say I'm 'to far up myself' but you move down here and find a job at 17 with a full time college course (6am to 6.30pm) and the nerist towns like 20 miles away!!
I'v been sacked from most jobs because younger people and the Polish will work cash in hand for next to nothing!!
So I will say no more.
