Doesn't make it right Callum
All you mentioned I agree is the game. But solo shouldn't be so far behind grouping.

I agree Dave.
I just dislike the QQ's that have nothing to do with the actual problem.
The problem is that people are leveling too quickly in groups.
That's it. All the other issues happen when people geek/cheat/tweak/guild up/P2W etc. etc.
They aren't systemic to the group/solo exp bonuses.

You say this but in 4-5 years on euro I was booted out of a cave by tm / revival probably 3-4 times ?.
And I did 38-40 mostly smashing pb with a Tao, I don't remember guild hunts being the best exp in massive groups either 2-3 people was optimum At all times.
Do not compare a private server to Euro..... it's a completely flawed argument.
The user count on Euro was much higher, there was so much more competition/areas etc. etc. 90% of the time people would just leave each other alone.
As the Mir community has gotten smaller and tightly knit groups/guilds have been created - the PK element is bound to seem more intense.
Core for example include a main group of 4 or 5 people who have played/geeked 10+ servers, plus a multitude of other games together (I know, I'm usually doing it with them).
They play Mir specifically as a PvP gap fill in between other games, so when a server starts, they will geek, then they will PK, then when the server dies, or the QQ's get too much - they'll just leave.
That didn't used to happen on Euro, because it didn't have a 'life span' like Private Servers do - it was the first one we all played and we didn't know it was going to end.
We know Private Servers will be up/active (UC of 100+) for 1-2 years at best. So people play the game in a completely different manner.
There is more classes than Euro. There is more spells, different mechanics, different mobs, areas.
I mean, you're effectively drawing comparisons from two completely different games from the same family.
Like comparing FF7 to FFX - moronic.
Quit crying, play the game like you always have, or Alt+F4.
If it's 'TL;DR' for you - I'm basically telling you to have a big ol' cup of the shut the **** up.
