Constructive thread about ideas for a gameshop in mir. All items in the gameshop will be obtainable through real life donation, trading with another player, and possibly ingame gold.
***not a discussion about gameshops and their merits* **
Ideas cannot include any of the following:
1. Items (weapons, armors, jewelry).
2. Skills
3. Large impact buffs. Buff amount must be the same or smaller than what is already ingame, ie. storm drug +1 speed (duration, on death removal, etc. are open for changes)
Ideas must try to include the impact that your gameshop purchase will have, and as much as possible, numbers to show exactly what you are suggesting. Also include what you think the impact is by having the item purchasable rather than dropped (ie. mounts would have a high impact because finding them would be amazing, where as finding a small buff potion isn't that exciting so small impact). Examples:
1. Sex change scroll - one time use. Impact on gameplay - small impact on male vs female armor gold value disparity, could be seen as a positive impact. Drop impact - small.
2. MC Drug - +2 mc/30 minute duration/lasts through death. Impact on gameplay - small buff nearly no difference in killing speed even if the user was to use them every moment of play. Does not imbalance pvp or the ability to kill monsters above the characters current level and item power. Drop impact - small.
3. Snowman suit - 24 hour duration/lasts through death/large radius light. Impact on gameplay - extremely small torch gold sink negated for the period of time the user is playing (could be they only login for 1hour with the buff on, which is approx 1 torch.) Drop impact - debatable, my guess is small depending on rarity.
4. Permament mounts - Impact on gameplay - small impact as it changes nothing to current combat, only appearances. Drop impact - large impact as having a rare mount is extremely visual and provides a big incentive for people to keep playing and find them.
