That's a bit of a sh1tty comment tbh. GCSE grades mean *** all to me. I didn't do too well...only got like 1 A, 2 B's and the rest C's, plus a D in maths.
Plus my A was close to a B, and that's in English! You'd think I'd have an A* really, but no.
But I'm no dumbass...far from it, without blowing my own trumpet.
Well i agree with you on that up to a certain extent, but to get into college you need a certain grade (At least a D for a course other than retakes)
Even though it doesn't reflect at all on your intellegences, like me, i got 1 C, the rest were Ds, Es, Fs and a G and i'm actually quite smart lol (Not trying to give myself a big head). Example, i got an E in ICT, yet i have a First and National Diploma in the exact same subject (Some would say more difficult) and im soon off to University lol
But without the C in Maths and the 2Ds i wouldn't have been able to attempt the First Diploma, then the National Diploma from there allowing me to get to where i wanted to be.
Although tbh, if i did better in my GCSEs, i would be able to get here in 2 years rather than 3 years lol, but in a way ****ing up my GCSEs helped me, as right now im qualified for an IT job for 20K Starting wage, its just not the job i want lol which is why i'm going to Uni, so if i mess up at Uni i have something to fall back on :P
