Gold and item selling/buying

I have not done this myself but am confused Samuel always made out that buying gold/items and selling is done at our own risk and they will not get involved yet babyhack posted this on another thread.

I have always banned gold sellers when I find them, this is not something new.

so I'm curious what are the rules as they seem to of changed. And if this is not allowed why have you not banned all the accounts that where sold with "gold" on them.

What is the point in banning the bots if we do not ban the sellers or any gold sellers for that matter

I do not mind what players do what the items they have worked hard for (that risk is up to them but we will not allow it to openly happen on this forum)

The account in question has a miner account with a lot of gold on it, then makes a thread on the forum offering to sell gold via western union and you wonder why the account has been banned

There are mule accounts which collect gold from all of their bots in order to sell the lump sums to buyers, I think this is one of those accounts..

Yea I understand that but surely then all the people who bought gold to kit there accounts and then sell them should be banned to as they are doing the exact same thing just turning the gold into items instead

Think people selling their stuff e.g. 80m that they collected in the entire duration of the server legitimately is alright, the bots farming 10m + a day is the issue lol

If I was here from the start of the server buying Gold would also of gotten an account banned.
I spend over an hour each day banning bots and TBH I am getting tired of it

Today I manage to find a gold seller and ban that account and you moan about that too

As I said if I was here from the start of the server I would ban the buyer and the seller

The main reason for the bots is that people are buying from them

I'm glad BH is banning gold sellers long may it continue as for the people that buy gold. I can understand how an honest player could be tempted to buy gold so I'm not sure a ban on them would be right but hopefully before long all the gold sellers will be gone and this will be the end of the problem or am I just being naive thinking we will get rid of all the gold sellers.

It's not complicated?

Selling Gold =/= Selling Accounts. However if you're selling Accounts with level 1 characters with millions in Gold then that's Gold Selling and will be banned.

There's a big difference between using bots to farm gold and unbalance the economy of a game and selling a character you worked hard to level.

I imagine you won't get banned for buying gold but really that's at the discretion of the Chronicles Staff. If you're worried just don't buy or sell gold. It's pretty simple

I was not moaning I just wanted a clear answer tbh. And have you not thought that maybe the reason people are still buying gold and giving these bots an income is due to the amount of gold sinks that have been added to the server

I do agree about 1 or 2 of the gold sinks (again not added by me bar 1)

But gold is not hard to make on the server, if you hunt the right areas and collect items and pot drops you can easy make some gold.

I got a PM about this earlier this morning and the person that was conned choose to not name the person who was doing it.

They choose to protect the player and not report them even after all their items where stolen by said player.

If I had 100% proof (I see it happening) of the gold selling I would ban the account.

I'm not a major fan of the 10k fee to use TM but it stopped people using it as extra storage putting items in there at stupid prices because they had no storage space left

And also takes alot of gold out of game hence why people buy gold

I tend to make decent gold when I am hunting solo so if I can do it then anyone can. Plus it's 10k per item it's not a massive amount of gold so I don't think TM prices are the reason people are buying gold. I think people that are buying gold want good items for no work and it is as simple as that. I find I enjoy the game more and have more fun when I earn the kit I have on
