I cba to pick gold up. It's just so 2001. It's now 2015 these files look great and need to be futurised (lol can't for the life of me think of a word that isn't made up that fits better than this).

Gold into bag fixes the issue of working out how much gold each person gets at the end of a hunt.

have enough chores at work. Spare time is for fun lol.

There are many serious reasons for gold to drop on the floor, a major one is economy. We understand this is no longer 2001. But this game can only be "futurised" so far. And this is a limit we decided we cannot cross for a few different reasons.

It's something i hope players will get used to, and does not seem like much of a big issue to us!

lol why you always riding my dick sarafino? I bet you have a 6 foot poster of me on your ceiling so you can stare at me every night before bed and think "this is what i want to be when I grow up, this guy alpha as ****". I don't blame you though, if I had to lead such a pathetic excuse for a life I would probably do the same bro, and by bro I never mean my bro, phaggot.

to be honest guys i think one of the main points on this is that it stops botting? surely anything that stops botting even remotely is a good thing? and tbh i do agree with apoc on it helping the economy, if your a wiz and gold goes straight to your hand your automatically rich lol i bet there will be loads of wizzies who clear decent size lures and dont bother pickin up gold ^^

lol you're absolutely wrong, it encourages botting :p
bots dont care if they have to walk arround and pick up every piece of gold even if it's 1gold each
players do care cause eventualy it just gets boring

+ worst part is when you start seeing stacks where gold and items are on same spot, you have to pick up the trash items and drop them again: just to get to the gold :p

in the end i dont really care about it either way, it's mostly just an annoyance and encourages 'creative' solutions :p
(lol like simply making a client mod that autoloots gold if you're standing on it :p)

If people are going to client edit, im sure the reason they do it is to auto lot gold lol?

Come on thedeath we know this is not a big deal at all, it neither encourages or discourages botters, as suggested it focuses on more user friendly things such as the economy.

i never said it was a big deal, but if you are making an edited client/cheat prog, it'd defently be one of the first easy things 'you' would add lol
also making it harder for ppl to simply get gold encourages botting, simple really: the harder it is for ppl to get cash for pots, the more they'll look at other alternatives :p

in the end the whole 'economy' line is pretty much a joke aswell: so you're saying if you hunt mobs and pick up all the gold you'd be rich? (cause appearently your arguement is that if it goes straight into your bag then you get rich, so picking it up manualy would be the same result? )

i'm not saying there wont be more gold comming ingame from gold going straight to your bag, but the amount should be negligible. only times you really should be getting more gold from 'auto pickup' is when you're aoe killing and you cant pick up gold because server owners decided to make the drop timer so low that you cant pickup loot before it dissapears (and who's fault would that be? :p)

Your points are valid, but as a long term slave of mir, I wouldn't be able to tell you how many times I leave piles of gold on the floor when hunting etc as I simply CBA to pick it up,

Lets say per day I leave 20 x 120-200ish piles of gold on the floor.

That's 2400 gold a day,

now lets say 50 people do that each day, that's 120k-200k a day, not much, but each month that's quite a lot of gold being lost on its own. Economy is important and even little things such as this can make a difference.

Creating a proper economy is more about ways to spend cash and less about cash ingame.

You could have mobs drop goldbars and still have a perfect economy like many servers have proven. Or you can have minimum cash in server but nothing to use it on other than cheap pots. So no making ppl pickup gold aint a step towards a better economy. Its just irrelevant

Nothing that is irrelevant, can be irrelevant if it has a place.

And this drop system has a place on Apocalypse.

This discussion of gold drops can continue, but we have decided it will not change, its been on mir for 15+ years!!
