Theres too much of it.
Still loads of people running around with sod all money at high lvl and everything is tax tax tax!.

scrap the 10k fee on TM, make it a free 7 day listing then tag it so it cant be relisted for 7 days, teleports free, no fees on caves or ships.

Make gems fail less or not at all to crafting ,they fail far to much as it is when you use em! we spend days mineing for plat, then have to buy runes, i made 4 gems and 2 failed. piss poor return for the effort.

theres no need at all for gold sinks, theres loads of people dripping in gold and loads who still have to go cashing so they can get pots to hunt.

All you do is make a market for the gold sellers that you turn a blind eye to..

game needs a flourishing economy, not ppl in the soup queues!

I don't see why stuff in TM can't stay there forever. As far as I'm aware it never caused problems on any other servers.

Gold lf sinks cause me to log lol. I get a collection of gold about 500k and think I either buy something from TM or go on a couple of hunts and my cash is spent then I need to go cashing again. Or multi box and make a miner. Not something I enjoy btw.

Gem crafting is very profitable at the minute, at a 70% chance of success, usually you can sell the gem double what it cost to create.

That's just you being unlucky with crafting gems then, it doesn't reflect the average success of crafting and selling and the profit made by a lot of people

soup queues!

I don't play Chronicles and Jez, I mean nothing by this but when I saw this, I read it as "sour grapes".

I would add that it's very hard to balance gold distribution in Mir, whichever version. There are always people that seem to make gold for fun and others struggle. I was the same on Eve. I couldn't make anything worthwhile so gave up.

it is sour grapes in a way, i played since day 1, i/we kill bosses daily, had sod all drops since server started, i mine n make gems, go lvlin, buy n sell. but cant make a cent worth shouting about, and i know im not the only one.
more casual players in the guild who can play few hours a nite are constantly skint.

Then we see gold sellers which are allowed to operate with impunity (who knows mayb its sam). bots running about all over, so yer im pissed off with it all.
seems all legal avenues to make any revenue are taxed to death like real life.
ive never had this trouble on any other server, ace wasnt like this.
The game has already lost players for this very reason we dont need to lose any more..

Every woomataurus drops an average of 400k I'd say, evil centipede the same. Killing iwts gets you 300k cash ph if you get all 20 just in gold drops alone, Nevermind all the marbles which sell at a premium (they only seem to drop ice, wind and poison).

Those are just a few examples of ones which take little effort

but only so many people can be at a boss. If someone has killed them you have to wait for another hour.

But you can't just assume someone else has killed it, you need to go there yourself and work out the spawn time. I run into the same people every day in dungeons and they have nice kit as a result of checking them out as soon as they log on. Some people I've honestly never found near a boss, and they have kit to show for it.

You should get enough gold during a hunt anywhere to cover pots + repairs and leave you with about half the cost of the pots + repairs in gold from shopping items/actual gold drops, imo.

Remove crafting stones and TM fees (both to put up and the sale commission) and see people be happy.

If the exact same server was released with less tax, gold sinks, no silly exp tables. It would instantly take all the players away from this server.

All classes should be able to pay for their expenses after hunting except for wizzies hunting solo(cause of the massive exp gain they should lose out on some gold they kill at a way faster rate) when hunting in groups only the boss can decide if your expenses will be paid or not because once you get in a bigger group the potion drops get divided.

Also the only gold sink we need to change is TM where one of 2 two costs need to be removed either putting on the tm or the tax it has.

the TM and the crafting stones, no need for them or the runes that are needed for gemming either. its just pointless gold sinks.

the only people that need gold sinks are the people that DO NOT struggle with any of these charges...

Gold sinks refers to mechanics/features that take gold out of the economy permanently (paying for storage space, teleports, pots, RTs, TTs, refine fee, etc.). Runes don't count as one unless they're all in Wep shop now (they weren't last night), they just shift gold from one player to another.

My level34 Archer has about 3.5million on him.

I've not played for months so this was all gained during the period everyone moaned about drops (So way before BH joined and changed stuff).

He's not killed one boss, only ET/WT/WEB's. Best actual drop to sell was a PlatRing which sold for about 200k. I also bought lvl26 weapon for about 1million.

So I don't understand how people are struggling to make money, unless gold drops are much worse now (Even though from reading here, it's actually better?)

Gold sinks in the Mir economy are important, without them all you see is inflation inflation inflation with the consistent influx of gold if you were to remove the sinks, you remove the means to a stable economy.

Seriously you can make 100k in fifteen minutes killing Omawarriors at Gir yoong if you're that destitute. Honestly gold in the current state of the game is neither difficult to acquire, nor fluctuating wildly, which is good! :)
