WoW has achieved a hell of a lot more than Mir ever has or will, doesn't that say something about how good a game is?

I love people who thin Mir is better than WoW. Someone told me the other day Mir is better than WoW because Mir doesn't hold your hand through the game. When I pointed out that Mir cant hold your hand because an obvious armour and weapon choice every 8 levels or so isn't really rocket science, and PvP comes down to who has the most pots.

Lmao, mir doesn't need to hold your hand at all lmao... Even though they do, theres a ****ing npc tells you what to do, THEN when you get to 7 or so, zing new spell, 10, zing new weap, 11, zing new armour, ect.

People used to pay £7 a montn for mir 7 years ago, and thats probably the equivelent to the WoW subscription nowadays. The graphics are 3D and they have been done is such a way that the game can be played on low end computers. By all means you can definately find games with better graphics if your willing to spend at least £600 buying a computer to run them.
9 Million people play the game, Level 70 is currently the maximum level. If you want to properly comment on a game, learn about it first. Maximum level is currently level 70, and players like me who have a lot of experiance can get to level 70 in about 10 days of gaming time. So less than a month of playing. A new player will take 2-3 months max if they learn fast.
Its funny you complain about how "although the graphics are 3d they suck" despite the fact that WC3 is very old and doesn't exactly have top of the line graphics.
Your stuck in a time warp and appear to think all games are like Mir, where its an endless grind day in day out to level up, and everything is measured in levels.
WoW Has such a variety where mir is stuck to 3 classes, over the years mir hasn't done much new, and if it was new it wasn't brilliant.

- Over 10,000 Quests (No that isn't an overexaguration)
- 2 Worlds.
- The list goes on lol..
- 3 Classes.
- 2D graphics.
- 1 world.
- Various caves..
- Same creatures differant colours...
- Can't think of much more...

I have played Lineage 2 which is another biggy 3D game and its also got 5 races, soon to be 6, loads of quests, fantastic sound effects and graphics.
All the newer games are far better than Mir in every respect.
Having said all that, Mir is (was) very addictive. This was primarily through its ease of play.
Mir has been left behind as a game and this last year the writing's been on the wall for the official Euro servers but they still keep plodding on trying to offer some sort of service. They will do all the time the diehards and the newbies that don't know any better are willing to pay their money. 95% of Mir players haven't even played another game so they think its brilliant.
It was once, but now its a museum piece.
This forum survives because people still have a great affection for the game and their own desire to program enhancements keeps them going.

Sorry I'm late, had to prevent some universal catastrophe's. You know what I mean?
The problem with Euromir is that its a stagnant cesspool. Plenty of Isometric 2D games survive on the market today, because they are updated and cared for and ran by competent people. Mir2 in china is still going very strong, however Euromir is run by a bunch of cowboys who know little about anything. Updates are like 2 years apart, and the actual content for an update is just rehashed crap and 6 new weapons.
One thing I hated about Mir were character names. Im not a roleplayer by any means, but I hate seeing people with ****ing moronic names running around in a game. I mean I remember someone called "Turdbath" playing. What sort of dickhead names themselves that? People on there only hang around for the community. The actual community consists of 30+ year old players (having their midlife crisis) and teenagers who befreind each other for sexual purposes.
These players are diehard, nothing will beat their beloved Mir, and they will cling onto it untill it shuts down, at which point they will try a new game, almost any new game and think "FFS I wasted my life on mir."
Yea, but this being said there where some, decent, cool guys I met from playing euromir. Well, back in the day. Now it's just full of hackers and shit.
