you are both not seeing the point i was making. when a gm says something is ok people will do it. if the gm says its not ok people will still do it but will change the way they do it.
if sam and BH said no rl cash transactions are not allowed, but no action can be taken without proof and proof of such transactions is hard to come by. i would much rather the GMs sell the items for the benefit of the server.
I can see your point and its perfectly valid, The issue we have is that real life cash trading has been allowed since the server began and to suddenly change the rules would most likely cause a bigger stir than simply allowing it to continue.
I think the bottom line here is that Sam / BH & LCD all have better things to do than police transactions between players hence they choose not to get involved in this - Even if selling items for real life cash was against the rules how could you police it? as has been said above people find a way around it.
Annoying as it is to see people succeed straight away by buying items I would rather see the server teams time dedicated to improving the server than helping Joe Bloggs who gets scammed for £100 for trying to buy a dragon slayer.
