As for what ur on about, the reason people do that is once they've acquired certain skillsets the bases become overly simple. Thus what often occurs is some mild form of arrogance. You'll find it a lot in acedemic professions like Scientist, laywers, etc. Its even worse in professions populated by people with lower than usual social skills (IT, programming, etc).
However you can do a lot to ensure your not met with this type of response by appearing courteous and well intentioned. Quite often its infact the fault of the requestee for appearing overly daft. "I WNT HOLYDEVAS LYK BUT SEARCH GOT NUFFIN WTF!!111!". Making multiple threads on the matter rarely helps either
