hmmm this is strange and i need help. If poss

Right i did a lot of work on my server and i tested some new mobs... fine.... i closed it all down correctly and then turned off the computer... then i wake up in the morning and my DB has been totally reset... everything was back to what i 1st got it as. I had new spells mobs items etc etc and ive lost it all.

Has n e 1 ever had this prob and is there a way to fix or is there a way to stop it happening again???



And before any1 says.. yes i am fkin gutted.

1. Did you close the gates before shutting your PC down?

2. Did your computer crash?

3. Did any gates crash?

4. Is it the same set of files (possibility :P)?

5. Has anyone else used the computer?



If it's any of the top 3, it may be that it has corrupted the file, or the computer has been restored back a few days (may be related to the 5th option).

The 4th is obvious, and if it's the 5th option, maybe someone has overwrote the DBs.

An advantage is that it will teach you to keep backups of files :P.

happened to me before but in general like will not save my pc changes and or downloads.

If DBC is left open then it doesnt seem to save to the .db file.
Noticed this because I tend to leave DBC open all the time and my DB's get backed up in the morning and sometimes if I fork something up by accident I end up going back a few days with the database because it was the last time I closed DBC

Presumably if you dont close DBC propperly/normaly then it wont save to the .db file?
Just a though and sorry for your loss, had many losses too and yes it hurts
