Hosting a computer game

On your computer e.g. mir, does this cause MB to be used by the internet connection. I mean say i host a mir server, i am planning on getting a new connection with a montly allowance. Now say i have 1GB left and hosting, do i lose Mb by hosting ? just wondering because i may not apply otherwise.

Yep you do, you lose upload which would class as your usuage limit i have 30GB and am ok to host hehe, maybe getting unlimited again shortly tho

If you want to know how much Bandwith/Upload a server uses to host, browse about (search etc) because somewhere there is a recent thread i was reading which told you how much upload is used depending on amount of players playing your server.

u loose MB if some1 connects on ur server u browse / download from internet bla bla ... everything that is realated to internet consums bandwidth and MB
