May i ask what are you trying to do?

I think if you move the files called "Mir2Patch#n.dat" and "Mir2Patch.exe" to a different directory, it should not start the autopatching process.

create a shortcut of the exe. goto properties of it and in the target add -c -u. it should look something like this..

"C:\Mir2\Mir2.exe" -c -u

that will disable it.

ps. i like to take this moment to say how stupid some people who play euromir are. and i thought we had the worst ones on this forum.

Well removing the 2 files i stated above worked for me before, but doesn't it redownload the patch inis and all the other inis when it starts to connect? As in it being coded into the client?

it will recreate them if you delete them, but i dont think it will correct them if u change the ip in them.

It didn't, it recreates if you only remove ONE of the two files specified, if both though, it would say that the patching process could not be started or something like that, i know because i used to have it turned off due to it always crashing on me :P, maybe with the new update they fixed it, don't know.

I don't know if this is the same for 1.9, but in 1.4 you could open your Mir.ini and change the 'patched' value from 0 to 1 (everytime you wanted to start mir, unless you make a program to do it).

Alternatively, use your firewall to block the patch site, or if the settings are still there change the patch server address so it can't connect ;)

Just tested myself...

Go in to your euro mir client folder, find the files called

Mir2Patch.exe
Mir2Patch#n.dat

Remove them frm the euro mir client folder.

Now run mir.exe from your client folder, and you should get a message saying "Mir2Patch.exe file not found. Can not use auot-patch utility. Press OK, and off you go.

Leo, your way doesn't seem to work, the autopatch still starts but just stops and does nothing if i change the value from 0 to 1.
