As a budding Tao the amount of skills I have is increasing so I have to work out a pattern for my F keys – out of curiosity how do you (other classes included) map your skills?

Cheers

I've always had the same set up.

F1 - Heal
F2 - SFB
F3 - Poi/Poi cloud
F4 - curse / (rev till i have curse)
F5 - Energy Rep (before ER it was Hide/Skele)
F6 - situation depending (hunting/group - Mass Heal - Shinsu if pvp)
F7 - Ac buff
F8 - Amc Buff
F9 - Hiding / UE
F10 - Trap Hex
F11 - Puri
F12 - Rez

the reason i've set them up like this:

All main skills are F1-F6
Situational Spell F7-F12

Mine is really weird but basically I always have hallucination unassigned. Once I have curse or poisoncloud I will remove single hide and mass hide myself when I need to! All the spells I need to cast on a moving target or often are F1-F6 and cntrl of those. Spells I cast on standing targets are F7/F8 because on a laptop I need both hands to press control f8 :D

I think what Mir has always lacked is the ability to bind any spell to any key. I think using the F-Keys as your main keys is a bad way to have a user interface as the keys are so far away from each other and I have lazy hands.
The only way around this is if you have certain hardware where you can bind keys using their software.

Thanks for the link milo, forgot about that feature! Makes it a little easier to cast certain spells, even though I still have to have 2 or so unassigned
