Anyone ever had the problem of when you put a server up for play everything works fine no errors but once on the server lag spikes of varying times (approx 5-20 seconds in duration) happen at random intervals.........the server has been up the night before without this problem, was taken down for editing and then when put back up this problem occured......
It was initially thought that some of the editing had caused this problem, but everything was removed bit by bit and the problem remained, maybe something running on the computer that shouldnt have been.......computer was rebooted and still the same problem.........a fresh set of server files (untouched) was used to see if it was a problem with the current set.........again still getting the problem.
The ISP for this server is AOL, who have been contacted and have checked the connection where everything seems to be fine. From everything that has been tried im 99% sure that this is a connection problem.
Like i said at the begining of this post, has anyone had this problem, if so how did u remedy it, or does anyone suggest something that might?
