if we go on form, Rooney is probably the best. But I personally think messi is better.
Rooney has it all, power, finishing, passing, vision and commitment and that's why imo he's currently the 2nd best in the world.
A hell of alot of goals ROnaldo scored for Man Utd involved Rooney.

Over the past month or so though Messi has shown that he's capable of playing at a level that nobody else can even compete with, he's been superb.
Messi can be stopped however and he can often go missing in the big games.
And Rooney has never been poor like you suggest, even in the year Ronaldo was on fire it was Rooney pulling alot of the strings.

lol, Anyways I think Rooney is by far the best player in the world at this current moment in time, I still dont think, Messi can do it in the big games, Rooney proved he can at the San Siro. Love Fabregas aswell that guy is just absolutely sensational, I think Arsenal will also struggle to compete with Barcelona although in 5 year time theyl be better or as good as them imo, with the likes of ramsey/wilshire/walcott and fabregas all being extremely young, they are going to be world beaters, mark my words!

You said you don't understand how he's 2nd best in the world... then you went on to say that he has managed to fill Ronaldo's position & more. Ronaldo may not have been the best in the world the last couple of seasons, but he's definitely been well up there, Rooney has done what he did + more, therefore you can't say Rooney isn't one of the best in the world, tbh.

Well.... Rooneys scored 33 goals (i think) Ronaldo scored 42, so Ronaldo's stats are better.
And imo Drogba will finish top goalscorer in prem.
