A friend of a friend said about a new program that only needs the char name to gain access.

First off is that possible? If the program can search the database for a char name and get the login ID via that?


What are your thoughts

Rofl did deathwish tell you that? He was going on about that.. I thought key edition logingate should be global.. and you could search by ID not charname to find their key.(no problems there)

Only way to do that exploit is if you know their id and charname and no its not possible to search by charname in a database(none exist globally lol) to find their id.

Erm if you ment it searches by charname to the server its connected to.. doubt it. Possible.

Dont know this deathwish, but I heard it from someone who knows abit. Maybe their wrong I hope so. I like private servers.

Yeah he didnt explain how it worked just that it is being developed, th epoint of this thread is to see if it can be done. Some way of connecting to the server, finding a character name which would output the ID. Then all they would have to do is use the ID login program.

Yes like I said i'm sure theres a way to do it but i'm not going to waste my time to figure it out.. when it probably can't be prevented.

Also if they are that sad to bother to hack private servers then let them be. Just ban them.

Find out how they do it and i'll block it in my logingate because for one I know it goes throught logingate - > loginserver if it does exist.. and wa la all servers have to use my logingate to block it.
