LOADVALUE/SAVEVALUE - Mir 2 Equivalents?

I have had a look at the command lists and can't find what I am looking for. I am trying to convert some Scripts from Mir 3 to Mir 2 (2.3) and I was wondering...

Is there a way of reading and saving to a text file.. i.e.with Mir 3 your would

LoadValue D7 [QuestDiary/Text.txt] [Convert] [Flag]
SaveValue [QuestDiary/Text.txt] [Convert] [Flag] %D7

I think I asked the same question a while ago. It seems there are no commands to read/write from/to a .txt file in mir2.

How about reading and writing from SQL via script.

If now, how do you read and save values on Mir 2?

there are commands to read and write to a txt file,, just not the way that you wanted it to funpire,, theres addnamelist and checknamelist, but as funpire found out it cant check for 1st, 2nd or 3rd name on a list

Its not names I want to store..

I want to Store whatever value I want.. somewhere.. and then of course.. read it again.

You can use the variables system but it isn't near as advanced as the mir3 system

Will it save it even during log out / server reboot etc.

If not, how can I do say.. a lottery where it stores the Total Cash taken?

Bump, I know it can be done.. because there are servers that have custom information being saved.

It seems there is no-one in Mir 2 who is willing to share information..

I have been given a warning for posting 3 times (over 5 days) which I think is not excessive, considering I know the information is available.
