he tried to run a fair server that would just cover the costs with a small amount spare, but as you can see it did not work.

He could have sold any item and milked it as much as possible, then closed it, but chose not to.

That's all I'm saying = credit where credit is due. Don't you see where i'm coming from or agree in any way?

I have no problem at all with 4H selling items, so not even going to try and say anything else on the subject, just wanted to put my opinion across that I felt like it was maybe starting to upset the balance a little = end off .........

As for my son, believe it or not he has only just turned 14 but shows remarkable maturity compared to many . I'm very proud of him.
When wound up he becomes like a dog chasing a bone and just won't give in. No idea where he gets it from? :wink:

It's not bull crap m8, nor is it a flame or spam. Only a few valid points that I never made a fuss of.

It seems that you're being defensive about it with a few others. As I said, i don't see any problem with donations and have stated several times that 4H is a pretty decent server at the moment, I can't see any harm in that?

As for life, I believe it is what you make it, and mine is pretty dam good :wink:

If you report anything that you feel is unbalanced, like warrs having too much DC or wizzies not having enough AC etc etc, on our forums then we will look into it.

Obviously Warriors will defend that there is nothing wrong with the balance because they like to own, but two of the guys I played with actually left the server because they feel they can't compete as a Wizard. Shame really because they got me back into the server.

Probably going to follow them to Dark realm and play both servers part time. Just a shame really because it did not seem an issue until Warriors started to reach higher levels.
Probably the best attraction to 4H is the large player base if I'm honest, but if players continue to spit the dummy out and leave it will have a detrimental affect.

read a few pages cba to read all but it looks like ur all slating ben because he gets donations .. now ben only offers exp pots and random box items which u have a chance of getting nothing and the end of the day it doesnt **** his community up ive played os , and the donaters arnt unbeatable uve just gotta know how to pvp really , in a way i feel some people are jealous that bens server is popular and does get donations on a regular basis , end of the day if people with to donate its there choice ben doesnt put a gun to there head or scream DONATE OR ILL BANN U ALL . now who evers saying ben only thinks about donations think again , as much as most people dont like bon or w/e just cut with the crap . im not taking sides or anything but ben does try and he obviously gets players approvals with donations.

Altho the thread contains flames the context in both sides is still valid, I've said to Bon before that his donations for some items are alittle high.

But stuff such as exp pots are around £6 (still alittle high imo for an illegal game) but still wouldn't stop me paying it.

I'm sure I know someone who got one of them random bo's and he got litterally full kit.

I don't want to seem like i'm sticking up for the guy but I am genuinely impressed that he has stuck to his word, firstly by giving Dark Realm to Wayne for free so players would not lose out on what they had donated, and secondly he has stuck to his word on Salvation and made no attempt to milk cash from anyone.

I just hope to god he leaves DR to Wayne and doesn't try to take it back off him.

Waynes a great guy and I can see him happily letting Paul worm his way back into it, eventually taking over the donation side of it as well.

I know Paul was working on some 3D game similar to Mir a good few months ago, so maybe he is going to concentrate on that?

Just find it hilarious hes closing down cause hes not making any money, yet from what we've heard it used to be / DR was orginal hosted on his home PC lol.

The reason i am not hosting it any more is because theres not enough donations or subscriptions to cover the dedi costs.
ive been paying them for the last few months out of my own pocket.
As i am not working i can not afford to keep spending 200 quid a month.
I was never in it for the money as you would love to tell people but i did need the costs to be covered.

Gloat all you want but ill tell you now not very many people donated.
it was £2.50 here a £2.50 there.
no where near the crazy amounts you recieve.

The fact is ive never hosted from a home pc as i have never needed to execpt when i was hosting for dan.
I would never want my server hosted from a home pc as its laggy as hell due to virgin media been crap.

I find it funny as hell how the spam on the thread has been alowed to continue.but once again no mods doing anything they should be.
