Ok, I'm looking for some help...
My problem is this, my ISP cut off my dedi line 5 days into my contract. They gave me no reason and no warning for doing this.
It's gonna take me a good few weeks at least to get my deposit back from the ISP. In the meantime, I really don't know what to do with the server. I was roughly 98% complete and ready to go live. The problem I have now is funds, I can't afford to get another line installed. All the companies I have spoken to want to charge me to "install" a new line, more like use the old BT one but make it active on there service. Anyway... I can't afford to pay out the prices they wanna charge, so I've decided on 3 possible options.
1: I gain some kinda funding from a/some 3rd party/parties... whether it be someone or a group looking to co-own a server, or someone/group who just wants to play a long term medium rate server, which is what I aim for mine to be.
2: Find someone else to host it for me but with me running it and calling the shots... I don't know anyone I could trust with this option.
3: Pass the files on for someone else to use and RENAME all aspects including scripts etc so no trace of the Samurai name is there.
I really am not sure what option is the most viable, but I really want this server live. If no-one can help me out then hey, I'll just keep the server on LAN until my circumstances change
