Ok, lets have a serious talk.
I honestly think that adding in these quest reward items, on a low rate server, was a huge mistake. Allow me to give my reasoning.
So, at level 20-25 you get given the MW quest line/treepath questline for the FoxHelmet/ClassRing/LionBelt/ClassNecklace.
These are pretty easy quests, and net you some seriously decent statted items, with decent enough dura to last, well, I'm now 35 and they've only lost 1 dura.
Here's the issue. Almost all of these (bar the fox helmet) simply devalue the excitement of finding a similar type rare, and devalue the rare itself.
Lets take BoundRing for warr for example. AC0-3 DC1-3. So, finding a Dring means, you pretty much lose out. Finding a powerring means, you swap 2dc for 3 ac, so, still technically a loss here in raw stats.
Lets take the Warrior ToothNecklace for example. DC1-5. Find a clawnecky? 0-5... is actually worse, and thus claw neckies are now worth nothing.
Find a gbead (seen 1 on server?) DC2-5. Gain 1 base dc. I was a little disappointed to say the least. It's even worse for the archer/sins as these items come with accuracy on them, so any replacement is an immediate loss.
Don't even get me started on the LionBelt. Health+25? Basically a free hp runeslot on it with better stats than a chainbelt!
The only exception is the foxhelm, which is in my opinion the perfect quest reward. Not too good, not too bad. tiny bit better than a shaman helm. Easily replaced by a better rarer helmet.
What was the thought process behind these quest items on such a low rate, euro-styled items server? I think they would have been absolutely perfect, if they weren't such good stats, or only lasted a very limited time.
Thoughts? Anyone else think quest items are a bit, well, silly? Just an observation and feedback. Do with this information what you will.
TL;DR lvl 20 quest items far too strong in stats, needs nerfing or readjusting in my honest opinion to give the "rares", well, the feeling of being a rare.
