i dont wanan argue with u, as i like u... but even if the servers been up for 2-3 years... if over them 2-3 years its average user count is like 3-5... im sorry but i rly wouldnt consider it a mega hit server

like i said, no offense, rly dont wanna argue... but just cause ur servers been up 2-3 years doesnt mean its amazing, just means uve left it up that long lol... a server thats had a decent user count throughout them 2-3 years then ye, good server.

No offense taken, i never claimed my server was "Mega" or anything, just stating the dediaction to the server through the good and the bad times, the server count changes so often i couldn't put an average figure on the user count.

Tbh i don't care because my server wasn't built to get 1000+ people on and for me to shout to everyone "look how good i am", it was built as a retreat from euro mir as staff sucked worse than a ***** and most importantly, for players to have fun with a slightly higher exp and item rate.

If that experiance is being used by 1000+ or 1 people/person, i know my job is done, making someone happy as that was all i ever wanted out of a server.

SERVER INFORMATION​

EXPERIENCE is set to approximately 25-35x the rate of EURO Legend Of Mir, although this varies dependant on your choice of hunting area. HOSTED on a dedicated server, YOU HAVING A LAUGH ? you won't experience any lag at all COMPLETE CRAP here because the machine is used ONLY for Old Skool LAL WHAT A JOKE... and it's resources. STATISTICS of this server are set between medium and high, of course there won't be any of that "one man army" I GOT TOLD DIFFERNT junk here. AMAZING items, weapons, armours and maps; some of them even the oldest of players won't even have seen before!


dedicated server... if u do have 1 why does server go down alot.. crap dedi? all we get from you "gm's" is the "tech" lmfao this tech ent got a clue has it ?

lag... ? =/ server lags 2 much infact i honestly ent found a server that lags worser and iv played alot of servers since euro beta..

oldskool is hosted on a dedi, proof can be provided.
dedi is used for oldskool only, again proof can be provided.
every server lags now and then
dont understand this one man team? i do all work on oldskool alone, few ppl have helped, but 90% of the server was all me.

Its obvious Meritorious is a threat to your servers usercount, if thats the case sort your server out.

and as for the dedi if the machine what ever you want to call it these days is used for oldskool online then why do you even lag so much as you do...? it ent like bit 8 second lag a week its like alot of lag every day of the week almost, then when server goes down.... btw ent been around os for while but im taking a wild quess it been down withen the last 2weeks ?
but when it is down then u have to call the tech to come out pay the nob for it ...... !!!!!!!!!!!! (you a mug?) then it takes him ages to get it up, then after its up probs 65% chance of a rewind.. so i cant understand why server up time is so crap... if ur on a dedi with the "machine" only being used for your server and people get lag as much as they do?

and on your homepage is complete crap and should be changed tbh...

I have to admit making this thread kind of asked for it bon, However i think you need to just stop moaning about everyones server and with hold your negative opinions as it seems every time you state them it starts a flame war. Which i just sat and read for 10 minutes for no reason what so ever. Why is this community constantly at each others neck? Cant we all just get along and keep the peace, Theres no need for it all really. I for one am sick of reading flame spam.

My server has used a donation system since its been online and i have taken nor gained anything from it personally, all the money pays for the cost of running and hardware upgrades to further improve the service.

*rough estimate* Break down of a quaterly bill:

Electric: £150+
Internet: £130+
---------------
other costs could include:
Server parts: £10-£w/e

The thing is, is that no one can afford to just host a server w/o some support from the players. From a dev's side of the fence, why should we create new content, working our asses off in any spare time we have AND pay nearly £300 in bills for ungreatful, 5 knuckle shufflers like yourself to play mir?

Not trying to sound rude here, but i know I'll probably grab a lot of attention, but i think it's simple as this...

If you can't fund the cost's for a server, don't run one.

Something i heard a while back, and to be fair it's quite true, all these servers have donation kit and give "little" things out. Makes it slowly unbalance if it's little things.. if it's big things instant unbalance.

Not having a dig as both of these servers are good, but the thing is they both ask for donations, and they still manage to go down or experience lagg quite a bit.

I don't personally believe all this was needed, but i can understand that your p***ed about him flaming your thread etc. fair call.

But to try and get the server shut down completely. That's just ruining it for a lot of people, you don't see her/him [I don't care if it is JayZ or Daydie or w/e i thought it was Elise] trying to post threads like this closing OS down.

Fact is a lot of allegations are thrown they were thrown at your server now there being thrown at met. It's really daft. Seriously in my opinion this was not needed.

But that's my say.

main reason of the post was because elise keeps bad mouthin OS, so i decided to bad mouth his, i truely dont give a fk about his thread or server, if u were to go look at it, its like a 32 page thread, and ive only recently posted on it when he started flamin OS.

point of the thread was that jayz has repeatedly put up the same server with slight adjustments time and time again, purely for donations

he just rips ppl off, time and time again, shouldnt be something advertised on the forum, as just brings it down

just funny how every1 totaly ignores that and has to come flame OS, just funny.. i know OS isnt the greatest in the world, and ive made a lot of mistakes, but its my 1st server, i aint perfect. but a lot seem to play and enjoy it, so its all good.

oh and as for donations, its a lot better than havin P2P...

Yet again another FAIL... gosh this is annoying -.-

Tbh the ONLY person that deserves any payment as a developer is TheDeath, as his files are the only stable set around and FYI i have actually offered TD some money as i felt he deserved paying but he wouldn't accept anything for his work.

As for the final comment about donations, not everyone has intentions to scam anyone, take me n ben for instance, we both work solo on our files as its something we like todo in our spare time, but with that as stated in a previous post that server owners need some form of income to break even for cost of running, its simple buiness.

You don't start a company or w/e with full knowledge that from day one you'll be making a loss and that it would only get worse. If dev's want payment for files then good on them, they deserve every penny, like TD does for his files but if they are freely distributed then that is their choice.

W/E you do, DO NOT confuse donations as "payment to the server owner", as for me atleast this is deffinatly not the case, all money goes to bills and upgrades, so NO server owners don't *well i don't* get paid to run a server, players just contribute towards bills n hardware.

TD refuses to take money tho, not even to release his source code, which is understand able, but if hes not workin on them ne more i would.
