There are so called 'unpacked' files around, i spent a few hours and got 3 sets. The newest set i got hold of is on hold as i was going to translate everything but tbh i cba atm as the 'new' features are so basic that the coding gods of lomcn would find it a a walk in the park to add them. They really are nothing special atall.

So your telling me you have unpacked hero files, yet your basing your own server "pongo", on 2.3 files ? I've got a gold fish that could probably work out that you're lying. Log off and die, prick.

That would be quite difficult considering I would of posted about said files and features the day the Chinese released a set of files :)
Yes, but just because you post said information when they release the files. Doesn't mean that I still didn't know about the files before hand, cause I did.

On another note I now know how to unpack them, but need an offline ASCII/HEX coder/decoder - As im using the same method to remove security keys from files also.

There no "unpacked" files around no, you have "unpack" them yourself...

Someone explain wtf you mean by packed? the Hero files i have will work as tho it were any other type of files, the word gold is changed and theres no codes or w/e anywhere.

The simple awnser is... Hero files are nothing good. If anyone on here could be bothered to do something with the SVN then they could just add the few, minor things into it.

Btw 'Wond' does it make you feel big talking like that? so pathetic.

"Packed"

Basiclly when righting software developers dont wont people to be able to change there code once the given project is compiled. By change I mean Hex there applications to say remove copyrights or remove limits to the files or in our case translate strings that are in the exes themselfs and not text files or databases.

When applications are "packed" you cant simply read them in a Hex editor and change the values, as they are all messed up. In order to change things or translate things you need to unpack them, which takes the application back to its original form or best there is so you can edit strings etc..

Send me (if you want to) your M2 and client and Ill tell you whether its packed or not.

Hope thats cleared a few things up :).

Thank you for that, does this mean that TD's files are packed or could we just Hex the exe's to remove the caps?

TheDeaths files are packed yes. Even if they weren't it would be very hard to find the hex to change the caps. Its not likely to be around a string called Cap or any sort of string
