My favourite program that i can use for importing into a .wil file is HH8.

Get it Here

To the best of my knoledge export a bitmap of the map from the map editor then imprt it into the .wil file then then update your minimap.txt file.

The best way to do it in my opnion is to resize the original map image to 25% of its size, then export every single image using lomimageviewer, add the maps in at the end use the right names and placement, then rebuild the library using lomimage vieweer

I have now got it to work. Using Map Editor and wmLibEditor.

When in Map editor u open the map u want to make a minimap for, and export as a bmp file.

Then u look at the size, in my case
2100 x 1400 then u ?4. But on the First Dimention u add 2.

Example: 2100 ?4 = 525 then u add 2 so its 527.
then u do 1400 ?4 = 350.

So u resize it like that, then u export 1 map from Gadgets image viewer, which will open in paint if u have it set up to open in paint, then u simple paste your map u've resized on top, and save as wat u like.

Then u open wmLibEditor, open mmap, then another window will open showing u wat maps r there, then u click the folder top left to import your bmp file u made in paint, and then u save it, and then it shud work. Worked fine for me.

Also u may have to import some other maps if u get a error when openin mmap.wil. then at the end when u've added some maps, then u copy some of the blank looking boxes, and paste after the maps u've added, which shud stop it coming up with the error next time u open it up.

Pasting the blank boxes dont seem to work, so if you want to add another minimap in after u've saved..... you'll have to imput em all in again then add the one u wanted to add at the end. Still not too bad, just gotta spend alittle more time doing it

In Hell
using gadgets image viewer, open mmap.wil, then go to image>export range then export all the images (ie mine has 209) so i enter 0 in first image then i enter 209 in last image then i enter 0 for the offset (this will dictate what number your first image number is when it is exported (ie if i enter offset of 4 it my first map number will be 4 )
then choose a location to put the images .

open an image editing program (i use acd fotocanvas) open the image you want to import, resize it to 25% of original, (now we need to adjust the colors) select the whole image and copy it to your clipboard, open one of the maps that you exported earlier and paste the image on the clipboard over it this should set the colors to the correct palette of colors (i know there is another way but this imo is easier) then save picture as the next to the last number in your folder (the one where you exported all images(ie my last image is 209 so i would name it 210) then open placements folder in the folder and create a new file and name it the same name just make it a txt file (ie mine would be 210.txt)***i do not know how to adjust the placement correctly aybe someone can help us both out on that one*****

now open lomimage viewer and open mmap click image>build new library

image folder: this is where you exporetd the images earlier
library(wil): this is the name it will save to
library(wix): same as above
start image: the first image in the folder
end image: the last image you just added

then click build

this is how i do it and it seems to work.... i am sure there are other ways

i hope it works for you, if it doesnt i am sorry

i dont understand lol

height / 2 = whole number (all even numbers)
width / 4 = whole number (4, 8, 12 etc...)

so if your bmp is 341x123 you have to add "padding" around that picture... to make it 344x124...

remember when you view WIL files in LOMViewer you see those extra border on the right and bottom? that's what it is...
