After reading the post I've noticed there's no mention of archer? Is it being implement at release? Or is it going to be a future patch?

It's on release. It was in closed, everything from closed will be in live.

i think with my complete lack of playing mir over the last couple of years i have missed out on turtles, people seem to rave about them.

Could someone please give me a quick run down of why they were so great (or maybe point me to info on a server that had/has them which already contains the info )

I have searched this thread and can find no mention of where to download all the files required to run the game. Please can someone provide details on where to download these files. Before anyone says, I know the game is not released yet, but I am just hoping I can download the installation files in advance of the launch.

By the way, I have noticed the link to http://www.mirchronicles.com/downloads/patcher.rar
but I assume there are more files than just this?

Download the auto patcher from that link, make a new folder on your desktop, put the autopatcher into that folder, run the autopatcher, jobs a gooden.

which it turns out someone added turtles or something and magic happened but then they were rubbish looking and so on =\

follow what deano13 said but unzip the ChroniclesPatcher.exe from the patcher.rar file using winrar or whatever programme you use to unzip rar files...

You could still get some good ore mining on V1, i don't know if thats been changed for Chronicles.

They do have an anti AFK system in place tho, so after a few seconds of mining you have to stop and start again (you get a exp style message saying 'no more ore' so you know when to move)

i find that the mining thing makes mining worthless in some sense. I disagree with the stop start. it causes headache and more issues with nining
