Music on maps

kk preacher was kind enuff to show me how to do my music scripts but now im stuck on addin music to maps

so say i teleported to a map called DavyJonesLocker how would i make music play on that map

Not sure if this will work on your files but try it...

- Firstly create a folder in your Client called 'Music'.
- Then add the MP3 files you want into the folder and give them sensible names like:
001.mp3
002.mp3
003.mp3
etc...
- Then open up your TBL_MAPINFO find the map you want to add music to, and put MUSIC(001) in FLD_FLAGS.

MUSIC(001) should play 001.mp3 from the music folder. Change the number for the different tracks. As i say that should work, thats how it works with my files anyway.

Nope it's not, maybe it's somthing to do with the names as it works on mine for sure. Try using these names:

100100.mp3
100101.mp3
100102.mp3

As i say it definetly works on my files.

u are correct.. excuse me but i'm not at home and i didnt have the chance to check it..

here a person had a problem because he had renamed his mp3s to 001.mp3.mp3.. try to check if u have all the extensions visible and see if its not the same problem also to u

nah its still not workin such as simple thing and it just wont work lol tryed a couple of different mp3's too

Try them as .wav
What I meant to say before my adsl dropped was tray wav files.

Edit 2.
I know wavs are bigger but sometimes peoples' Windows setup might not have a default player set up for mp3. Using the wav would atleast prove the music setup was corrrect.
Nice idea btw.

On lineage 2, the towns have their own theme tunes and play as soon as you enter. In the field, atmospheric music kicks in as you approach and enter a hunting zone or the home town of one of the races.

umm still cnt get this working and its a main feature for my server i need to get it working somehow Preacher when your not at work can you pm me on msn and connect to my computer and take a look for me >?

In the music folder(in client) start with 100100, name the mp3 file that, not 100100.mp3, JUST 100100, then do like you have it in sql, MUSIC(100100), 100% works like that on TD's files.
