Probably because the website you are downloading from doesn't allow you to download any faster.

Fastest site i have downloaded off where i got 238 per sec was of urbans site lol :P

i once got 2.2 mbps speed on a download dunno how just did. I think the 2272 in the tray is for kilobits? or kilobytes, which ever is smaller lol

1 megabyte = 1000 kilobytes = 8000 kilobits.

If i move mouse over the contents is :

Upstream/Downstream Rate (kbps) 288/2272

So basically

Upload : 288 kbps Download : 2272 kbps


But when downlaoding I only get 225 ish kbps and 28kbps upload

1 megabyte = 1024 kilobytes.

1Byte = 8 Bits

4 Bits = 1 Nibble

But when downlaoding I only get 225 ish kbps and 28kbps upload

You can only download at roughly a tenth of your connection speed btw
