Problem with those maps, is with the population WE have would make them look very bare lol.
We have enough to make these "stripped" maps look busier, but thats it.
Ultimately, big maps are just not needed anyway....you may prefer the look of an enormous map, but after the initial start phase, 95% of all starter maps don't get used....except to run through to the caves we want to get to.

More resolutions and overall smoother gameplay. Korean client is just run on an outdated engine, without rebuilding it, there is very little they can do about it.
Jamie has done his from scratch, on technology available to us today. Anything built "today" will run better on anything built over a decade ago, the technology is simply better and capable of utilising the resources we have available...which simply didn't exist back then.
Same issue you may experience on some games a few years ago when Quad core Processors released. Games would run better on Dual core because they were optimised for it....Quad-core may have had more available power, but the 2 additional cores were just not used properly and slowed down performance, instead of improving it....same would happen on the Korean client, you would need outdated hardware to run it properly.
