absoloutly dreadful.
the need for effects is completly redundant here..youve over used (and poorly) ill fitting effects.
Its so bad infact that i really cant find anymore words..and thats unlike me!

Not to my taste background is absolutely horrible. ok 1st Link is ok but dosent fit in with the 2nd one as there both differant types. text horrible. Mate try something new insted of zelda ? it might work but Legend of zelda isn't your thing sorry. Well at least not yet

All u do is get 2 or 3 images and add them to a cheap coloured , then filtered background.
let me attempt one for ya :P then u can stop right?

As for the signature you're currently using oOoOo it's not too bad, I personally like the filters, they bring it to life. Don't listen to anybody else anyway, if you like it, keep it. Afterall you're the one using it, not them.

1st off i only made this thread so people could help me and give me tips, not say im crap because lets face it... i know that already.
p.s the one you posted is really sh1t cut-out of link and its not exactly much better than my siggies

In a strange sense i could say your getting there...there is still mistakes in there but your getting the idea now...
Bad points - The font still does not fit in too well... www.dafont.com
Link render goes off the canvas so looks abit strange... and the weird tribally design goes from green to light brown? maybe somehow carry that on with a green feel
Now i looked around google to find a link picture and i realised that there isn't many great pictures.. probally because its quite old.. i expected to see a wii picture but couldn't anyway my advice
Maybe try something different from link? and use someone else
If your persistant and want to use link then maybe try blend different greens together and not use such a bright green... and just play around with the size of the render and placement.. but i can see you are improving... but font still sucks..:P

You are definately getting better, try some different colours though. Green isn't the prettiest.
Blue's and Red's are usually good if you're a starter.
Keep trying, you'll soon get you're own style and be showing these punks up.

to be honest i just suck at making good backgrounds.... but i shall learn!

OK so ive tried with Link again... i'm determined!
No filters used as you all think im just bieng lazy etc.

EDIT : Ohh hcrap sorry for the double post.. i honestly didnt realise i posted already
edit-2 : how do you reesize images in Photoshop? im accually resizing my images in paint then copy/paste to PS.... hance why theyre pixelated and i have to use filter/render to cover the pixelness up lol..

The font looks ok in this peice.. but the blue is really bright... as i said same rules apply with all colours you should try mess around with different shades of blue like lighter or darker... the background could use some work but its up to you what you do there... as for resizing images... Ctrl + T... a resizing box will come up... if you hold shift and drag from a corner it will keep it in proportion...
TAP ENTER and it'll go back to a normal image just resized... it may look pixelated whilst resizing but it'll sort out when you hit the magic Enter key or (return key)
