Cheaters on mir should be banned. It'd be nice to have a list of banned players but honestly witch hunting them is what I don't stand for. I mean it's a game and most cheaters only did it to get on the same level as the other cheaters. And I find it quite idiotic to try to give them forum tags and to stop taking them serious. They possibly have a better way of thinking then most of you cause they at least knew that there'd be only one way to get on a cheaters level.

i do not encourage cheating on Mir though it's pointless and sad if you wanna write hacks go do it for some big game where it has 0 impact instead of here in these small fragile servers.

Yes. It proves they are being proactive. The fact XINXIN has been running about for 3 weeks with cheats has made me lose any confidence in the team.

Of course from our point of view we want to see who's banned etc.

But BH has already explained why they do not advertise this, and its more than a fair point.

Yes from me, a locked thread which is updated with char name, date, brief reason (literally something like 'cheating' or 'botting') and the length of ban is all that would be needed to show the team are taking action against reported offenders.

24 in favour versus 2 against, seems pretty supported at the moment.

I've voted No, simply because it would require time to set up, maintain and update. I don't think the team have time to be doing little things like this. Id prefer they worked on the content long before a name and shame policy.

I do like the idea, if everything else was finished/being released then i'm all for it.

91% agree, the remaining 9% are alts scared to be revealed as a cheat incase the next char is reported.

So the GM's wont make a ban list, Gm's give a reason of 'I cba to read spam'
Guy with wallet finds chron, see's all the cheat threads(most recent on the forum) this and sees how adamant GM's are to hide cheats,(after the Fb Chat incident.....) guy has little faith, bye guy.
After given threads with cheat proof I dare say it would be the wisest thing to do business wise lol.

For some people this game is their life, if they were banned and shamed they'd learn how to DDoS or hire someone to do it for them = example of repercussion (hello romanians?)
There is no income if your game is inaccessible by the users.

Or, imagine if a well "respected" member of lomcn was caught cheating and was shamed in a thread. A lot of the little deals that go behind the scenes would possibly go south. Drama, crys.

It would take guts and time to do this and neither seems available.

I have already stated my reasons for not doing this

I ban cheaters, have have already said that I have been really busy the past few weeks and have been unable to review cheat logs

I have and never will post a list of banned players, I am not here to feed forum or game drama, I am here trying to run a server for you to play. Posting when a payer is banned will create drama on the forum, I will then have to manage this, taking time away for reviewing the cheats and working on the server.

It's a stupid cycle and I fully understand how you and the other players feel but that's just the way it is.

Cheaters get banned, you all know I have banned enough of them, the last month there may have been 1 or 2 that got missed but in the end they get banned, also I do not just ban an account I tend to fully ban

For what reason lack of time. Well that's just bad time management if u ask your player base what they wanted a new melee 5th class or more ingame content very few would have picked the new class. Don't get me wrong from what i have watched u have both done an awesome job with it, but that time should have first gone in to making sure things actually dropped, more 45+ content. alot of the spam/crys and hate on the forum is down to boredom/ lack of new content, sure the turtle map is nice but any one whos put togeather a 1 week server could have had that done and tested in a day.

the first wave of cheaters all got there lomcn accounts changed to know cheater. which in its self is naming and shaming. bring another mod in to forums all u have to do is give him a list of names and let the mod sort it out for you and posts about the bans = 24 forum ban simples. every ones happy and you dont need to worry about it

But its okay to give these stupid Known cheater titles, after people have been cheating for 10 years, if everybody got one of these titles for getting caught with cheats, over 60% of this forum would have it as everybody used to cheat back in 1.4 and 1.9, these titles are just bad as what a name and shame would. " Causing drama " Your such a douche bag.
