need help im a noob to server making

ok so far i followed all the right steps i think and i get as far as logging in to my server and i put id=gamemaster and p/word=gamemaster but then when i click on character start and then it comes to a black screen??? here is a pic

ur game gate is not closed u need to goto the m2server where the menu says ??(C) in there goto ????(G) then click on ??(O) and that will shut ur gamegate and should sort ur prob

You also have a path error to ur std items db file check ur paths

Also well done for posting a screenie of the problem, so many ppl forget to do this and they dont realise how much it helps if u have a visual on the problem and not just an explanation.

Didnt think of reading the message in the m2server? Its actually telling you whats wrong

-Niss- Making the gate close certainly wouldnt solve the problem

ok i got it going now and 1 of my m8s is on .....the problem now is i cant get on ???? i changed my inis in my client to to lan ip and normal ip and even router ip for machine but i cant get past gates??
