World of warcraft? I really liked the system in that, useful for taos aswell.
No never played that, I was talking about EQ. But yeah good for healers.

Yeh served the same purpose on WoW, i remember huntin instances with like 20 names on the side of my screen lol.No never played that, I was talking about EQ. But yeah good for healers.
Hundreds of MMOs have that system lol, not exactly anything special :P

I believe my point was that Mir 2 doesn't...![]()
what?
yes ofcourse they can transfer it to a character in reserve. But that means the wizard is alot lower level.
if a wizz earns 500 exp, either the wizz gets 500exp or a wizz gets 400 a tao gets 100. that person still only gets 500 exp total.
a player levelling a warrior would have a higher level warrior than sum1 on a wizz lvling a warrior on 20% of the exp gained?
What on earth are you talking about?
Surely its about being grouped, for example say ure in a group of 2 and you are the same level. a mob is worth 1000 exp, u get 500 each.
if you put the transfer on, one player gets 600 per mob, the other 400.
saving the exp up and giving it to sum1 not grouped could have issues but what i said above is fine?

But isn't that like saying Wizard gain the advantage in Mir because they level faster?Okay, you're clearly not getting what i'm saying here yet others are. This system if a warrior used it to boost another character, the other character would level slower. If a wizard used it, they'd get far more gain than using a warrior or Taoist.
Does that help clear it up any better? Thus it's basically promoting wizards for just this sole purpose.

A command for a group hunt shout, people looking for groups and people looking to join groups, !+ or sumthin like that,
Aye its a nice idea but, I've played several games with LFG but IMO, none have ever worked. and Global shout like on mir3 should suffice. On that subject... I don't know how easy or worthwhile this would be to implement on such a small game but what about a global LFG system?
Basically you can open a window and search for people to invite to a group. People would have to 'register' as being looking for a group whenever they want, either by the same window or by a command, i.e. @lfg on, @lfg off
You can search by class, level, name whatever and send an invite.
Just an idea like.

Ultimately The "Newb" Will level slower using the method then they would if they were to play the "newb".
I can see what your saying where Wizards can level newbs faster because they can get more exp in an hour then a warrior... but thats just how wizards are, they kill faster.

People won't choose a wizard to level another character. There we go, that's my ultimate point, wizards are being given a greater gain with this feature further in my honest opinion, it's not that it's a bad feature i can just see it edging some people to play X class more then Y class.

Im my opinion i think you should concentrate on coding all the present features 100% so they are fully functional and bug free. When this has been completed then begin to code in the exciting new technical and aesthetical features that we have already began to see.
There seems to be a lot of report on progress from different areas from Lighting effects jumping to server engine dynamics. I wonder if it would be more worthwhile to concentrate on feeding back one specific area until its in your opinion complete, before giving us snippets of other ideas?
Jamie, the work seems to be coming on leaps and bounds and looks very impressive. If i were as skilled i would concentrate meticulously on the security and the stability of the server, rather then being drawn into the random discussions frequently presented by this thread!
If you would like this cleaned then let me know, im sure someone can index all the relevant updates back onto the first post for you.![]()
Why would we pay someone to develop a completely seperate set of files? You said you were getting paid for this I think, is it the FH team paying you or..?
Do you purposefully just pull random posts out of your ass?You said you were getting paid for this I think, is it the FH team paying you or..?
