Please really consider the drop rates for new skills, make them rare as hell. It'll add longevity and the exciting grind for most players that is missing due to the current market saturation. 50 weapons were a joke when first released!

I do actually agree with this. Currently prices on low-to-mid level items are dropping on a weekly if not daily basis. As an example, sowgs are now 40m, every 48+ wizz has mb etc. Lets add some prestige back into the game (although lets not go back to the drop rates that were there when the server first opened :P)

Hopefully now older books like curse and poision cloud will be less rare for their respective classes. Ive out leveled alot of skills on most of characters but i cant afford the books cause they are so damn rare and cost 20-50m which is just insane.

They are getting there, people still charging top dollar clinging onto the good old days but IMO no spell other than metstrike/crescent slash is currently worth any more than 15m.

Thing with this is people charge top dollar for other not exactly rare items so that dollar needs to be accumulated from somwhere other than buying gold therefore meaning the stuff with highest demand, books in this instance are kept expensive. As it stands spells are the only real money maker (bar 43 weps) from ur standard camped bosses because items are dished out to the people on the hunt that need them and books are sold and split for cash. The super rare stuff (44 arms 45/50/55 weapons) don't even drop at the moment. Haven't seen a dark armor on the market for many months. 50weps dropped for two days then seemingly got taken out of drop files. Currently no 45/55 weps Ingame. It's all a knock on effect I'm afraid. Pretty sure ur theory is correct though Once new spells start dropping regularly the likes of curse PC ff SS rage will drop to under 10m although rage and other mentioned spells are still pretty rare at dropping.

I think they considered this long before this thread haha you people think the lack of content is because it's not ready. Interesting how much new stuff comes out when server pop stats dieing and then boom to 300 online. They strech that **** milk it smart honestly.

One or two of them coukd be semi rare. The players NEED to see these dkills as obtainable otherwise they wil not stick around/return when new skills will be readily available elsewhere.

Get healing field, trap, massentrap and ghost out there. Get people excited, have them hunt down the others.

If you launch a bunch of skills and none drop in a week it feels like you didnt even launch them.
Nerf them after a day or two if need be but make them seem obtainable.

As sam said drops have been altered with a chance of new books dropping .I hope the older ones curse bliz etc drop like confetti n end this selfish strangle hold some have in this game .

I do agree with the OP but you have to keep in mind that the biggest part to play in acquiring these spells is their level.

I rather hoped they were a few levels below. Maybe I'll make it to 52 one day, spend 100m on a spell and only have it able to reach level one.

My theory is that guilds hang onto items so they can look after new recruits. Usually returners or those giving the server a go now its proved stable.
The only people who sell rare things are the ones that play to make irl cash or the ones who do "private hunts".
So there arent that many of the rare ish things that get onto the market. When they do they are priced out of the ordinary players reach by the pay to win gold buying saddos

From my perspective it comes down to player confidence with us also... We announced spells that weren't in from the start due to spelling mistakes or bugs which obviously reduced players confidence in us... I would like players to see that these new spells are in the drops, they are working and that we are working to keep Mir alive :D.

On the flip side, from a players perspective (although I haven't been a player in many years :( )... Nothing would motivate me to level more than having a skill I wanted to learn in storage, and not being a high enough level to use it.

My personal feelings on spells is they should be semi rare, but obtainable.

FrozenSword,
PlantTrap (ice),
GlacialSpike.

I do not understand the function of Portal: it is level 54 skill lol highest among all classes skills. Could you give me an example about this skill or what is the idea behind this skill.

Is it a game changer skill? like ghost?

Can we get some detail on how Portal will work? Some of the main things id like to clarify are:


  1. Can allys use the portal?
  2. Can you cast a portal, TT and return?
  3. It is not an instant teleport (like shadow step)?
