Ninja nerf to refine?

Just asking for an honest answer... When you guys did a reboot, did you change refine?? Ive spoken to alot of people, who got to + 5 before the reboot, yet using the same recipes cant get anywhere near it now.

Currently, im majorly stuck on trying to get my weapons to + 3, seems the first 2 are a piece of piss.

^^ * On Mir3 recipes never worked as same i guess is always 50:50 Luck. i used JUNK Items *worked +13 - i used Higher Items Failed +7.

Its all about luck... and not recipes...

What about Plat drop rate? I've been mining pretty solidly since the patch and I've been getting WAY less plat/p12+ since 3 days ago. I'm talking 10 times less.

I honestly don't know, I'm not online 24/7.

Did you change them on the fly then? There was a clear, very palpable change in both the rate at which you get plat and the odds of it being puri 12.

Mining rates can not be updated on the fly.

And the reboot the next morning was to fix an issue with the M2 and no files we changed on the server.

We can look at the rates if people want us to but nothing has been changed on the server since refining was added

I guarantee you that it has changed. I don't know how or why, especially if you know nothing about it, but it has. At least 4 other people I know say the same thing - Plats, and higher puri ones especially, drop WAY less than they did 4 days ago.

They were dropping left and right (I'm talking 3-4 p12+ an hour with a single account) on patch day and the next 2-3 days. Now if you get 1/10 plats being p12 at a rate of one plat of any puri dropping every 10 minutes you're lucky.

Now I'm not against them dropping less, as getting 3-4 gem-worthy ones an hour is sorta stupid.. but it's unfair if it's changed after being live for 4 days. I'd rather the rate stay high and there be more, cheaper, gems in circulation than the other way around.

Is there something akin to a limited number of Plat drops per map per hour or per person per day?

might be worth a look, thus far it feels pretty close to where Acem2 was...which is to say there was no point refining as gemming had a better chance and its so hard to get more than +3 that no one tries it on any wep worth trying it on. I also did alot of refining on all the servers I play, this seems to be what I am hearing from everyone else also.

I am at 8 pickaxes with no plats.

Only 2 people have access to the server and that is Sam and myself and we have not changed anything.
Maybe there is a set limit somewhere in the files that only allow a set number of ores to drop but I do not think there is.

We will look into this but as I have said nothing has been changed on the server since refining was added.

2 hours 24 mins today non stop 3 bits of plat Puri 3,4,15 The creation of the gem failed with 4 bits of ada ore :P.

Yesterday i had 1 piece of plat puri 13. Created gem, broke item on first gem!

Think ill just buy the added items lol, dont seem worth the grind to me:P

But i do think gems/plat should be hard to get hold of.. or when items like baektaglvoe drop, they wont be worth much as there will be too many dc+6 braces lol

Think its just RNG, there was many discussions about this during ace, sometimes you could mine and get 6+ usable plats in 1 bag, other times you could mine for hours on end and get nothing.

Random is random.

If it happens to me, sure. If it happens to me for a cumulative 24 hours of mining, maybe not so random. If it happens to me and 6 other people starting 3-4 days ago, most likely not random.

I had 6 plats between 2 chars in 1 hour. Thats with 1 having no swift axe ect
