I need JPEG support in windows 2000.

I don't ever remember jpeg not coming natively with it, unless I didn't install something I usally do with all my fresh installs, which lucky for me I don't remember anyway.

It's a fully updated install.

Get me my answer and I am heavily in debt to thee.

Notes:

JPEG can be opened in firefox.

JPEG can be saved/opened/edited in Photoshop.

JPEG IS NOT recognised in any windows program (M$ Photo Editor or Paint)

JPEG IS NOT recognised in ULEAD Video Studio 9.0 (something I desperately need to use today and NOW...)

urban if you don't understand it, do you think anyone else on this forum will? but heres my best attempt:

right click, go to properties, and at the top where it says 'opens with' and a box next to it saying 'change' change it to photo editor or paint, if that doesn't work, i've really no idea

I don't know everything, and I am sure there are many people on this forum who know many things in area's I do not.

That doesn't help, my problem has to do with windows actually having the file format, or reading it a different way.

That is very very weird actually, but well my best guess is something went wrong while installing windows 2000?
